Having shared the stage with such names as 28 Days, The Red Paintings among others, Will eats poo. Through combining their love of funk, rock, hip hop and psychedelic sounds into a giant ball of energetic fusion, the boys have created their own unique sound. A vast array of solid beats, funky bass lines, lighting fast riffs and fresh rhymes, is sure to get the crowd dancing every time. Taking it back to the feel good vibes that funk presents, Fistful of Nothing has a dynamic stage presents that comes from their friendship as brothers on and of the stage.
"Fistful of Nothing amazed everyone, getting the early entrants up and spaz dancing like there was no tomorrow. This was the first time i had seen the band so i was impressed by their musical ability and energetic yet controlled performance. They started out with an instrumental piece, before the lead singer lept on stage, grabbed the microphone and started to rap.There music is like a cross between the best parts of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and "Rage Against The Machine on an acid trip," as one of my friends described them. Sounds Like: The first support act seemed unimposing to look at: four young guys with that fresh faced look that youth carries, who sat in the shadows, quietly awaiting their time to perform. But when Fistful of Nothing opened their collective mouths and started to play, the crowd, and myself were riveted. Imagine early Red Hot Chili Peppers vs. Rage against the Machine. Their sound conjures up images of 1970â€™s California, surfing, skating and balmy beach parties. Halfway through the set, the songs took on a reggae feel. Displaying an absolute natural talent for funk/punk rock, this band is one to watch out for. ----Erin Peile
