Chery ice has been djing for about 7 years now, and is a rapper (Influences are MONIE LOVE, Queen Latifah, Phoebe One)and producer too, she specialises in RnB/Hip hop music as well as a bit of Old school RnB,Reggaeton and Vocal Funky/house.
She has played in many Local and International clubs out there proving that females can do it better!! You can be sure to hear the hottest tracks on rotation on one of her mixtapes, The difference with her mixxtapes and others is that she keeps them as live as possible with very little artificial mixes and effects! Various online radio stations have featured her mixes, local as well as internationally
Also previously had club nights every third saturday of the month at the oak bar (greenlanes),
Soho Lounge (Dean street Soho), club moonlighting (Soho) etc .. but more recently has played various International gigs, She is available for warm up sets or peak time slots.
Chery Ice has always had a love for music and started practicing how to dj at a young age on her mothers 'record player!' scratching many of the classics.Mixing is not all about mixing only the club bangers but also to bring in some uniqness to her style of playing. She will usually play from the point of view of the listner as opposed to the person behind the decks.
As her knowledge of the music industry grew, Chery decided to start up the production company 'EDUICE' with kenya's finest Dj EDU who himself is a presenter on BBC 1xtra but has still concentrated on more of her Dj'ing, mixing and blending in some of the hottest Clubs in London. She is currently sparking interest by record companies, as well as having been featured in various Magazines such as Voice, Pride, Mimi Magazine Issue to name a few.
Chery Ice considers herself as a Jill of all trades!!! and is striving to be Mistress of all! She believes that in the 'DJ game, there is so much female talent out there that is still yet to be discovered, hopefully one day she will be just one of those steps for other females to climb up, to get noticed as far as the progressing side of things go!
