Chauffeur Navarrus

Chauffeur Navarrus began in Lisbon, on July 23rd – 2005. On December of the same year, we went into studio to record an EP (to promote the band) – at the “Nascer do Som” recording studio. The final product was ready by February – 2006. From April of that year and on, the band has been making appearances on stages throughout the country. The following are among some of the many localities where they have performed: Coimbra, Aveiro, Figueira da Foz, Pombal, Porto, Covilhã, Miranda do Corvo, Ançã, Lisbon, Almada, Vila Nova de Ceira, Abrantes, Viseu, the national radio station RDP-Rádio Difusão Portuguesa “Antena 1 – Dia Positivo… This tour was interrupted due to the birth of João’s youngest daughter. On February – 2007, we went back to the studio and recorded two more pieces. We shall soon be making live appearances at the Lisbon Casino. Other future concerts shall be duly noted. Band members of “CHAUFFEUR NAVARRUS” are: João Navarro (lead vocals / guitar), António Neves da Silva (piano / keyboards), Paleka (drums), Guilha Marinho (bass), Sónia Castro and Carla Galvão (back-up vocals). Throughout our performances we have been benefited with the wonderful talent of guests: João Coutinho (harmonica), Jumbinho (saxophone), and Nelo Paiva (harmónica / saxophone).
