A product of the virtual Tungas Productions, the freelancers Lorenz Factor kicked off their sonic tsunami in early 2006 with multiple live Dj sets at bars and discos in Cascais, Lisboa, Torres Vedras, Leiria, Caldas da Rainha, Setúbal, Beja, Oporto and in different private parties all over Portugal while also holding down residencies in various bars in that country and being residents at the annual 14 hour non-stop AtomLiquidification Party. One of the members, ró=28 (André Faustino) has even been producing since 1990 and involved in Portugal's music scene, through his various rock bands, since 1984. ____________________________________________________________ __ This collective stands out for its eclectic and humorous sets and for the energy they transmit from behind the decks. Their different live acts (including Combat Djing, All-Day Parties, Active Jam and Lysergic Call - an experimental live act) and their innovating aesthetic, as seen in the flyers and outdoor settings they create, make them an obvious choice for any night where the motto is: “Party on!” ____________________________________________________________ __Their intense and hallucinogenic freestyle sets suit almost any type of public or environment. It's obvious that they are passionate music lovers with a wide range of influences and they're willing to share that passion with the crowd. They explore everything from world and multi-ethnic music to jazz in all its genres. They bring together the experimentation of electronics and electro-acoustics with the glamour of retro and lounge, the groove of funk, the heat of acid jazz, the joy of boogie-woogie and dance-hall, the kitsch of the 80s, the reverie of the moog and krautrock sound as well as the exogenous introspection of chill-in and even the cathartic force (may it be with you!) of rock and punk! ____________________________________________________________ __ Currently they are involved in the DubEarth.com project, carrying through (every first thursdays of each month) an eclectic and experimental podcast. In this project LorenzFactor discloses to their productions and remixes, as well as their visceral desire of sonic experimentation. Actuaram também em casas como o Maus Hábitos, Mutantes, Contagiarte, Chã das Eiras, Tendinha dos Clérigos e Fábrica de Som (Porto), Bar 10 e Muralhas (Cascais), Cinema Paraíso (Leiria), Trinca-Espinhas (Caldas da Rainha), ADN, BomBar e Baco Bar (Setúbal), Galeria do Desassossego (Beja), MusicBox, Cabaret Maxime, Santiago Alquimista, Pátio do Sol, Exit Bar, ETICnologic, AtomLiquidification Party, Grémio Lisbonense (festa lado B anos 80) e em festas Académicas. ____________________________________________________________ __ Este colectivo notabiliza-se pelo ecletismo e humor dos seus sets e pela energia transmitida detrás dos decks. Exploram desde a world music e a música multi-étnica até ao jazz em todas as suas vertentes, abrangendo a experimentação e a fusão da electrónica e da electro-acústica, o glamour dos ambientes retro, o groove do funk, o heat do acid jazz, a alegria do boogie woogie ou do dance-hall, o kitsch dos 80's, a divagação sonora do moog e do krautrock, o devaneio catártico do rock e do punk e a sinestésica introspecção exógena do chill-in. Nos sets freestyle adoptam uma escolha AcidDIscoPunk, muito caracteristíca do novo fenómeno NuRave. ____________________________________________________________ _ Actualmente estão envolvidos no projecto DubEarth.com, realizando todas as primeiras 5ª feiras de cada mês um podcast de carácter eclético e experimental.
