With a pop-rock background, The Guys From The Caravan experiment the folk attitude, adding a touch of irony into their uncompromised way of storytelling through songs. We could even say that the right word to describe their sound would be.. Rocklor! The stories can take place anywhere, for the never stopping caravan travels many roads. Characters come and go leaving behind tales, passions and tragic visions of life. All put in to music. 2006 was about to end when Bruno and Jorge started their unpredictable journey composing sounds and melodies. Gonçalo and Zé joined in a few miles down the road. In every stop of The Caravan a confession is made, to be shared with the world. "We try to sound human, assume the flaws of a flawed man, the purest feelings of the bum and the wanderer, the fascination for the human or the simple things in life. A whisky, a recently lit cigarette, and the taste you feel long before the feast is over."
The Guys from the Caravan are now finishing their first album which contains 12 tracks. The production is done by Flak (Rádio Macau, Micro Audio Waves) and is being mixed by Cajó (Xutos & Pontapés, Jorge Palma) in the Bebop studio. In this album there are also parts by João Aibéo (tuba) and Gonçalo Galvão (trombone), both from the Lisbon Municipal Orchestra. Tiago Lopes (Rodrigo Leão) was a precious help during the recordings at the Olivais Studio.EMAIL: [email protected]
