The Hot Rods were formed in December of 2005 and have now become one of the southeast’s premier touring rock and roll bands. The Right Reverend Andy, DJ of WRAS 88.5 in Atlanta said, "The Hot Rods have invented a new genre of music". He has coined The Hot Rods "Metal-Billy". The Hot Rods are a blending of Motorhead, The Stray Cats and The Ramones with a hint of southern rock. Sexually charged lyrics combined with musical hooks, The Hot Rods deliver a super high energy stage show with super high energy music. The Hot Rods have performed with Nashville Pussy, Honky, TH' Legendary Shack Shakers and Buckcherry. Over the last couple of months, The Hot Rods were a featured act on Myspace and were selected as a Pabst Blue Ribbon band of the week in 2006 and band of the month in 2007 in Atlanta's Creative Loafing news magazine. The Hot Rods now have a full endorsement from Pabst Blue Ribbon. They are endorsed by Jack Daniel's and Black Jack Motorcycles as well. They are receiving stellar reviews in publications throughout the southeastern U.S. on an almost weekly basis. In the short time The Hot Rods have been together, venues have had record attendance and alcohol sales. The Hot Rods released their debut CD entitled "SUPER SPORT", produced by Collective Soul co-founding member/former lead guitarist Ross Childress, in October of 2007. The Hot Rods have also recently signed an exclusive management contract with Jonathan Hibbert who is best known for discovering and signing R.E.M. in the early eighties to his label Hib-Tone Records. The Hot Rods are already receiving airplay on many college, commercial and internet radio stations. The Hot Rods will be touring extensively throughout the U.S., Japan and Europe in support of this release. Look for a live concert DVD filmed on location in Atlanta to be released as well. The live DVD will be produced and directed by "TWISTED PRODUCTIONS" who worked with music legends GARY KURFIRST and CHRIS BLACKWELL on the video "PINK LIPSTICK" featuring LEMMY KILMISTER of "MOTORHEAD" fame......THE GODFATHER - FOR-FUCK'S-SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!
