I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

"Inspiration to become a DJ came from having a neighbour who was a program director for a local radio station, and he let me work in the station library sorting new musicthat was my first radio job, and I was hooked!" "When I left the nursing profession and moved to Melbourne I forgot about radio and went into Hospitality, I obtained a certificate in Hotel Management and discovered this didn't guarantee getting a position." "So then I started working with a friend in his Chauffeuring business, this I did for about 15 years, in the course one of my clients mentioned he was starting up a radio school, I became one of his first students." "I gained my Certificate and in spare time worked with several Melbourne radio stations doing traffic reports and reading news." "I also worked with a Country Music Publication and a country music venue." "When moved to Geelong, I found a community radio station that played country music, I joined and became a volunteer, this was in 1997 and within a year I was elected as Vice President of Committee of Management, at next general meeting, I accepted role of Secretary and continued in that capacity until 2002 when I stood down to accept assistant station managers position." Was with Country FM for 10 years, held the position of Assistant Station Manager, and hosted several shows. Am now taking a well-deserved break. I am also involved in The Train To Tamworth, which leaves Melbourne and heads to Tamworth every year with many artists on the train providing on board entertainment for the duration of trip which is 10 days Currently involved with Worldwide Independent Country Radio on Paltalk. to find...www.paltalk.com after download go to music section, then country.
