The Fury of Tim

A monument to monoliths

About Me

The Fury of Tim formed in Dublin when John, John and Marc met in college (all three were doing science degrees). A name was decided upon and some time went by before any music was played. Then slowly the music began to flow as the band practised in kitchens and lecture theatres. It was looking like a gigable set was nearing completion. Then something most unfortunate happened, Marc had to go to Copenhagen for four months as part of his Medicinal Chemistry degree.

In his absence, John and John continued to work on music. In October of 2005, The Fury of Tim played their first ever live show as a two piece. Both Johns played guitar and despite some first gig nerves they played a victorious set, winning over the small crowd. One member of the crowd was particularly enthused and promptly joined the band as the drummer. Ronan fit in perfectly from day one and after a few practices, Marc returned.

Now The Fury of Tim are working on new material and improving the older material (what the two Johns played on that October night). Future plans involve strobe lights, albums based around animals and some damn fine music.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members:

Marc Galligan - Bass
John Guiney - Guitar, Mandolin
John Kealy - Guitar
Ronan Lyne - Drums

Influences: All of the band listens to overlapping but distinct music. You could arrange it as a Venn diagram but most likely John of the Kealy variety would have the biggest circle as he has more money than sense when it comes to music.
Sounds Like: According to various randomers The Fury of Tim have a touch of the My Bloody Valentines about them.
Type of Label: None

Lost recordings

Well I've some bad news. The recording we did before Christmas has been lost due to a hardware problem in the studio. We never got any back ups from the session (which we really should have asked for)...
