Peter Lobo spent his early childhood living and traveling throughout Europe. After years of studying classical music in many schools Peter moved to New York City. It didnt take him long to start gigging and recording in Big Apple. The major in Performing Arts with Music at Queensborough and Queens College introduced him to new, more culturally diverse styles - jazz, gospel and latin ensembles along with rock, heavy metal and fusion. He was awarded for his drum solo presented at The Queens College Performing Arts Festival. Peter met, played and became friends with many great instrumentalists and songwriters while living in New York including Bobby Hambel (Biohazard), En Esch(KMFDM) Anna Mercedes (Miss Machine) and Gordon Raphael ( producer and the founder of The Strokes) Soon Gordon and Peter started working together on several projects at the Transporter Raum Recording Studio in East Village. Song called "The Time Has Come" of Mhahavatar - cowritten with Peter has held the .1 position on MP3.COM chart for 10 weeks. Cannonball Run 2001 was the most played commercial jingle in history of USA Networks, composed Mark Berube and tracked in 15 minutes by Lobo on drums. For a short time Peter moved to Dallas, Texas where he was introduced to very talented musicians at the BussStop Recording Studios, worked on a movie soundtrack for "Grand Champion" starring Julia Roberts, and started giving drum lessons. After a number of performences in southern states Lobo decided to move to Los Angeles. Residing in Hollywood, he engaged in numerous activities involving recording as well as touring. He also co-wrote many songs, played drums, percussion and keyboards on the new album L.Y.F.E. with Dawn Robinson (EnVogue) and Dre Allen. He also has put in countless number of session hours at well known studios in Los Angeles including Paramount, Universal, Private Island and Swing House and many others Peter's trademark is his powerful, solid, creative and inspirational drumming as well as playing keyboards, guitars, and working with samplers, drum machines, along with composing, aranging and producing entire songs. Peter has been hired to play drums in the world famous musical "Hedwig And The Angry Inch" based on John Cameron Mitchell's book and written by Stephen Trask. Recorded drums for The Muppets in Wizard of OZ DVD and soundtrack. Played in original Broadway musical Wizard of Oz. Among recording in his own studio and working with many great artists in LA Peter is finishing his solo album.
