...everybody loves a lonesome banjo player...

About Me

Click Here to receive updates for shows in your area.
In five short years, Andru Bemis has wandered the ends, edges and in-betweens of North America more times than he can count. Traveling mostly by passenger train -- occasionally by bus or by thumb -- he's logged hundreds of thousands of miles performing his original songs almost nightly with a beat-up classical guitar, an equally ill-kempt banjo, and an occasional fiddle or banjo ukulele. When he's not riding the rails, Bemis' greatest joys are watching fruit trees bloom, practicing ragtime fiddle tunes, paddling around in little boats and recording himself and others on his old multitrack reel-to-reel.
Andru is a founding member of Ground Vinyl Records , a collectively owned record label featuring independent folk and acoustically minded artists from throughout the US and Canada.
