music, music, more music, golf, fishing, college basketball and baseball, poker, the clarinet and alto sax, ancient greek history, cutting edge quantum healing, good cognac...and finding music that makes my world spin.
folks who are smart, funny and tasteful
Where do I begin?...i can't get my fill of the musicians who were part of Jazz at the Philharmonic...the likes of Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Gene Krupa, Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, Lester Young, Roy Eldridge.....love the sound of Art Pepper.......always go home to Charlie Parker, tho'........Monty Alexander and Bill Evans really do it for me too. Love big band jazz... Pretty much, I'm steeped in the best of Jazz. Later on, though, I started digging around what was going on in the singer/songwriter world and came across people like Julie Wolf, Erika Luckett, Natalia Zukerman, Christie McCarthy, Ellis and it stretched my parameters in a whole new direction. These are some of the most creative musicians I have ever heard...... Basically, I like music that's swinging, tasteful and soulful.
Man for all Seasons with Paul Scofield.....anything with Ingrid Bergman.....really dislike visual violence
daytime tv is an abomination !! but i have watched and enjoyed the history channel and discovery......
Thomas Wolfe, Plato, Louis L'Amour, Socrates, Cicero, The Dalai Lama, Robert Ludlum, Taylor Caldwell, Ayn Rand
the first person who ate a raw oyster.....
