Hello everyone! I'm a Red Ear Slider called Tuti. On November 7, 2005 I was brought to a strange place which I now call Home. I really like the life I live in this place. My granny spoils me alot and Mommy plays with me too. I'm usually swimming for about six hours until Mommy plays with me for another two hours. Mommy sometimes takes me out for I can get some Sun. I've been to a couple of places, the farthest I've gone is Miami. I've been to the neighbor's, Miami Lakes, parks, schools, supermarkets, auto shops, drive-thrus, laundry rooms, barbershops, and once Mommy snuck me into Pizza Hut, Denny's, Wal-Mart, Dunkin' Donuts, church, the library, and the local Chinese restaurant. I also vacationed at the nearby hospital for a week while my uncle recovered. I have swam in the lake at the closest park and I have played in the sandbox in the playground. I seem to like Checkers' food, Burger King's fries and sprinkled doughnuts from Dunkin' Donuts, but I'm afraid of Wendy's fries and I am really scared of McDonald's iced coffee. I have some sort of an obsession with shoes. I enjoy climbing on the shoes of my uncles, granny, and mommy. I like all kinds of shoes too; whether they are flip flops, sneakers, or high heels. I'm somewhat of a veggie turtle; I like carrots and most of all lettuce! You can find me "wrestling" with my green-leaf lettuce every morning in my aquarium. I munch on the lettuce and leave "artistic" marks on it. When I'm approached by something new I react in two different ways: 1) I back away and withdraw into my shell, or 2) I press my nose against it and smell it. I'm easily frightened by shadows so most of the time it's reaction one. Although unfamiliar humans scare me, I'm very used to being stroked by Granny and Mommy. The last time Mommy took me to the vet, I peed on his hand (I've also peed on Mommy's and Granny's hands). =/ Besides those times, I'm a good little turtle who loves sleeping, eating and basking.
