FUNKMNKYZ

The Funkmnkyz were born in a basement in Burke, VA and struck out in August 2006 as a solidified five-piece hip-hop/funk/metal/blues/jazz/ambient/hard rock band hungry for live shows and crowds. In less than a year the quintet has played various venues in VA, DC, MD and WV including TT Reynolds in Fairfax, VA, State Theatre in Fall Church, VA, Jaxx in Springfield, VA, Tony's in Shepherdstown, WV, and RnR Lounge in DC to name a handful. The band is versatile, able to flip styles on a whim, get the crowd involved and share the stage with just about any style of band or hip-hop act around.
