Hi everybody!

Thanks to all our friends and fans for being patient whilst Kissy Music has been offline recently. There is still a lot to sort out and things aren't quite straight forward, but it's all getting there and we hope to be back and running full time soon. Until then, stay in touch, I always read all messages, even if I can't always reply to you all as there is just very little time and internet access for me at the moment. Kissy Music is an independent record label & music publishing house based in UK with a roster of international acts.
Our business is mainly internet based with some physical distribution. We specialise in Rock'n'Roll, Rockabilly, Country, Blues & Rock.

We also offer artist management & consultancy services. We can assist in arranging photo & video shoots and provide web design via our sister company Phatamorgana .

We are a small, friendly label. We pride ourselves in our personal approach to each and every one of our clients. We only promote music and artists we feel passionate about. We strongly believe in the acts we choose to represent on our label. All our acts are treated as friends, and that's the way we like to run things. We believe it makes for a much more pleasant and relaxed working environment.

International Singer, Songrwiter and Guitarist

Shawn Harvey is anestablished UK singer, songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist andproducer. He has a large international fan base and is well respectedamongst other musicians world wide. For over a decade he has written andrecorded Country, Rockabilly and Blues. Several European Rock'n'Roll bands have covered his songs live, andrecently, Dutch Country singer Shannah has recorded a cover version of'Haystack Life' from the 'In The Hills' album.

Shawn was born in Plymouth,England, and grew up in a small tin-mining town in rural Cornwall to thesounds of Country, Rock'n'Roll and Blues, a love for which shines throughin his music to this day. He started playing guitar and writing songs atthe age of 13.

Shawn has developed his owndistinctive style, taking bits from his early influences and adding adose of his own personality. The result is Country Rockabilly as originalas a 50's original and every bit as exciting.

His live performances are electric and show his musical talent as asinger and guitarist. Years of working on the road from as early as 14have made him a true pro and it shows at gigs.

But when in the studio, Shawn's biggest talent of all shinesthrough; the ability to write exciting, catchy songs and producepotentially chart topping tunes.

Being a competent photographer and video editor, Shawn has a clear idea of his imageand gets involved in the art direction of all his projects.

Shawn has internationalchart success on the internet, repeated Top 20 chart positions, withseveral global No. 1's on sites such as Besonic and Soundclick, regularinternet radio play and has gained a large world wide following ofCountry and Rockabilly lovers who enjoy his music.

Dean Ryan
UK Singer, Songrwiter

Dean's career started back in the late 80's in a Rock'n'Roll showband called "Ad-Lib", a 5 piece band fronted by Dean's father.

In 1992, Dean had the chance to play the part of young Elvis in Jack Good's Westend production of "Elvis The Musical". The show toured for 2 years in theatre's around the the UK, with summer season's at Bournemouth Pavillion and Torquay Princess Theatre.

The show received rave reviews, with Dean appearing many times on local radio, TV & local press, to promote the show.

In 1994, Dean appeared in Clayton Mark's show "From Blues & Soul To Rock'n'Roll", at the Torquay Riviera Centre.

Dean continued to work clubs & bars across the Southwest coast in his own show building up a fan following.

During this time Dean had supported the "Extraordinaires" & fronted top Rock'n'Roll band " Blast-Off".

In 1998, Dean was invited to work over in Ibiza for a summer season at Thompson & Fiesta Hotels.

Dean's dynamic show had now started to gather a lot of support from fan's all over the UK.

After 3 years, Dean moved to the Costa Blanca, Spain, where he performed every night for 4 years at top cabaret venue Morgan Tavern, where he still performs a few times a year as a guest appearance.

In 2004, Dean returned to the UK & now performs his "Ultimate Rock'n'Roll Experience!" show across the Southeast of the UK, with regulars at Haven Holidays, Park Resorts & Pontins.

Dean has been writing his own style of music over the past year, a unique blend of Rockabilly & Glam Rock, which he finds challenging & rewarding...

Dave Bull
Canadian Singer, Songrwiter and Guitarist

Dave Bull is an established Canadian singer, songwriter, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He is developing a growing international fan base and is well respected amongst other musicians world wide. For over three decades he has written and recorded Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly and Blues. Dave has established himself on stages, television, radio, in theatres, festivals, civic venues and in print as a significant force in rockabilly and Rock’n’Roll over the years with over 1000 live performances, some 16 CDs and a catalog of over 400 songs to his credit. He is known best for his portrayal of Buddy Holly in Buddy Holly Live!

Born three months, three weeks and three days after the plane crash which claimed the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper in 1959 in Toronto, Ontario, Dave got his first guitar at age 15 after beginning on piano at age 8 at the Royal Conservatory of Music.

His first guitar lessons were from the Eli Kassner Institute on Belmont Street in Toronto at the same time as classical guitarist and Canadian icon Liona Boyd. That’s where the similarity ended as did his musings to play classical guitar. After a year, he realized he was better suited to the self-taught method immersing himself in Milton Okun’s “Great Songs of the Sixties”. He began teaching himself all of the chords one at a time. He began writing his first songs within months of picking up the guitar in his first band “Stonehenge”. At that time he was heavily influenced by CCR, Alice Cooper, Rush, Steppenwolf, Black Sabbath as well as Buddy Holly, The Doors, The Beatles, Johnny Winter, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and oddly enough, a number of early American greats like Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Jerome Kern, The Gershwin brothers, Art Tatum and his own father John Bull.

David has developed a style of his own, varied and energetic, he has written over 400 songs evolving with each new influence. The result is Rockabilly with a Rock tone while having influences in Jazz and Classical shaping a wide spectrum of songs. He has mastered the Buddy Holly sound having portrayed Holly in Buddy Holly Live! in theatres across Ontario and New York after spending years as a professional musician in Toronto and Kingston in Rock and Blues bands.

Dave is perhaps a studio-oriented live performer – a writer at heart, but he has played well over 1000 shows in his career to audiences of up to 5,000. Fighting his natural urges to write, he played live until pressure brought from outside made him realize at 47 he can begin to use his storehouse of songs for younger artists to play and assist them in the studio – having entertained tens of thousands of people over the years and having accomplished what he set out to achieve on the live circuit, he is now unfolding and exposing his life’s body of recorded work (Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly, Alternative, instrumental soundtracks, Pop, Blues and Jazz) to the world. This is a vast collection upon which he continues to build, always emphasizing innovation and newness. His songs are so varied, he is truly a passionate musicologist.

His greatest influence has been his life partner and co-writer JP Rayne. Under the Rayne-Bull Productions aura, David has begun to produce his best work and rework his original classics while co-composing new ones. JP Rayne is an accomplished artist holding a bachelor of Fine Arts from Queens University. JP’s bio is also impressive encompassing radio, television, film, photography, painting, audio-visual arts, lyric and songwriting, piano, guitar and percussion. She has practiced yoga for over 35 years, instructing at the University for the past 12. As a vegetarian and an inspired critical thinker, she brings a dimension which has resulted in the blossoming of David’s body of work and artistic skill. This powerful combination is the fulcrum from which the career of this hidden talent, possibly genius duo make their way onto the world music scene.

Dave and J.P. have their own recording studio (Stay-in-Track Studio) which they use for Rayne-Bull Music to record their songs. This publishing interest is expanding and the library is being promoted internationally.

Swing Cat
Solo artist, songwriter & multi instrumentalist from London, UK

Swing Cat (Louis Batey) is a solo artist and songwriter. He writes all his own original songs, in the genre of Swing, Jive and Rhythm & Blues. He performs all lead and backing vocals and plays every musical instrument (including Saxophone, Flute and Keyboards) on all his recorded songs.

At the age of 9 years old, Louis taught himself how to play the Clarinet and Saxophone, learning songs by ear. When he reached 14 years of age, he studied music theory and harmony at The London College of Music.

After leaving School, he played with numerous small Jazz bands, performing at college concerts and bars.

He later attended university to study media production and broadcast journalism.

After graduating from university, Louis was given the opportunity to be a regular guest topical presenter for Jazz music on an LBC night talk show.

Louis grew up in listening to artists who would eventually inspire him to learn a musical instrument and write his own songs. Legendary artists who inspired him, to name but a few:
Louis Jordan, Louis Prima, Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley, Bill Haley And The Comets, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Big Joe Turner, as well as the Big Band Greats such as Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack.

These artists had a profound influence on Louis and their music helped him to develop and determine his own distinctive musical style. he want to keep the memory of his musical heroes and their musical genre alive, by writing and performing his own songs, inspired by these great, unique artists.

As well as being a singer and songwriter, Louis loves to Swing and Jive dance as a hobby.

Rockin Billy and the Wild Coyotes
Rockabilly outfit from Chicago, USA

Bill Harndenhas been a fixture on the Chicago music scene for over 20 years with a career spanning the genres of blues, punk, rockabilly, rock, country and gospel. He has created a personal style that fuses these influences into whirlwind presentation that calls to mind the hypnotic solos of Jimi Hendrix with driving guitar rhythms of the Memphis Blues greats forming an individual style that blends Lightnin' Hopkins, Elvis, Black Sabbath and Johnny Cash. Long respected in the Rockabilly scene he has reached a culmination of creativity that has only just begun to break through as an individual voice in an altogether new style of music.

He began playing blues with Lefty Diz at the Checkerboard Lounge on Chicago's South Side, as well as the original Maxwell Street Market in the early '80's. His first band, Sponge, whose album was released on "Under Dog" records in 1985, was a well received punk band with audiences as far away as Memphis and London. His first solo album "Rockin' Pharoh", released in 1995, was produced by Steve Albini was well received by Chicago music critics and was his first foray into rockabilly. His next album "Viva La Rock & Roll" brought the fat sounds of Vegas style horns and received much airplay on Chicago's Q101 and WXRT. His next album "Betty's Blue Star Lounge" contained classic '50's Rock & Roll influences and was a tribute to the bar of the same name, one of many Chicago bars like Mad Bar and The Bop Shop were he spent time as a house band and built a loyal following that continues to this day.

Throughout his career he has continued to play in gospel churches and blues clubs and has been known to evangelize on street corners through his guitar thus keeping in touch with the roots of Chicago that have carried him on through his anointed music these many years. These roots are what differentiate him from the average "blues or rock" musicians in Chicago and are the reason his fans continue to seek him out, waiting to see what his latest musical incarnation will be or what unexpected solo tangent will emerge from his guitar.

He has recorded on the legendary Sun Records with many of the greats, including Sonny Burgess, Ray Campi and Hayden Thompson and his upcoming album, set for release this year, contains heavy country influences but still provides the impressive solos he is known for, this time in the form of intricate finger picking. Although the country style is evident, the urban backdrop seems to weave through the architecture of the songs, calling to mind an afternoon spent sitting by the open door of his Wicker Park guitar shop where he likely composed many of the songs on this album. Rockin' Billy and the Wild Coyotes have played at nearly every well known and not-so-well known venue in Chicago, including headlining at the Metro and the Double Door as well as Buddy Guy's Legends, the Elbo Room, The California Clipper, Smoke Daddy, Mad Bar and more. He has also played at Al Green's Church in Memphis, BlueGrass Inn in Nashville and the Blues Festival in Utrecht, Holland.

As his career continues it's upward climb, digressing on tangents at times, fusing styles at others, he continues to make a major and truly individual impact on Chicago music.

The Wild Coyotes:

Pete O’Leary - This energetic and prolific bass player originaly hails from Detroit, MI where he cultivated his musical prowess. Pete is better known for his endurance while playing the upright bass and has been a Coyote for over six years. When he’s not playing the bass you can find him hard at work documenting the history and evolution of global copper strip-mining and deep sea treasure hunting.

Leslie Walle-Santos - a.k.a. Henry Krinkle hails from the turbulent north-side of Chicago. Growing up in the sixties and seventies while listening to The Beatles, The Stones and oddly enough The Monkees. This led Leslie to buy his first pair of sticks from a pawn shop which he kept secretly hidden under his pillow. But later in the seventies with the emergence of Punk and New-Wave he purchased his first set of skins with money he earned huslting marks at bowling. After playing a couple of un-successeful bands that gigged a lot, but never quite got anywhere, Leslie joined “Stump the Host”. Stump the Host was a funky stew of country-rock, blues and gospel mixture that introduced him to that swing feel. Stump then morphed into “Dolly Varden” and he left soon after. Somewhat disillusioned with the music industry, Leslie opted to free-lance with different bands and re-evaluate the musical atmosphere. Leslie met Rockin’ Billy two plus years ago when they shared a bill together playing in separate bands. They exchanged numbers that night and continue to play in and around Chicago.

Martin Davies
Singer, songwriter & bass player from Manchester, UK.

Martin Davies is a singer, songwriter & bass player.

His influences, ...Any good Rock'n'Roll!!Chuck Berry, Little Richard,Lennon/McCartney, Sid Vicious(!), Ray Davies, Dave Edmunds...

He has played bass guitar since the age of 18, hugely influenced bythe playing of McCartney, John Entwistle, Bruce Foxton and JamesJamerson.

He has played more live gigs than he cares to remember ( well over onethousand), anything from one barman in Stoke to 18,000 people in TattonPark Cheshire have heard his playing over the last 22 years.

He brings a swing to the beat that is rarely heard of in modernelectric Rock'n'Roll bass playing as well as writing highly catchy tunesin a wide variety of styles.

His latest project is 'Redemption Road', an album of all originalCountry Rock. He has teamed up with other session musicians in the studioto record this great album:

Shannah
Dutch Country singer.

This Dutch countrysinger has really found her mission by performing writing, and singing.

Since she was 17 years old Shannah has been singing in several bands

She started developing her interest for countrymusic in ago, when she met Bob de Jong, a known television producer and crazy about countrymusic.

Her inspiration came from artists like: Kellie Coffey, Sara Evans, Eva Cassidy, Trick Pony, Danni Leigh, Dixie Chicks, Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Brenda Lee, Rhonda Vincent, Jill King and many more!

Here oldies repertoire varies from uptempo rockers,from p.e. Wanda Jackson, Elvis, Buddy Holly etc. dansable 'jivers' and slow balads.

Solo or 'live' backed by Of Course ; let's be clear; you’re not waisting your time at her performance!

Shannah was born in Copenhagen, has a Danish mother, a Dutch father and two brothers. They were brought up with the English language, which is beneficial to everything that has to do with her singing (and songwriting). Having lived in England for 4 years and one year in the U.S. (Santa Rosa, California) has contributed even more “feeling”with the English language.

Together with Han Epskamp, who also writes songs for some famous Dutch artists and the international songcontest (Mai Tai), she has written some songs. One of those recently written songs got an “Songservice Award” for one of the 3 best composed/ written country songs in Europe.

Shannah won several big awards and a 3rd prize in the Soundmix Pleasure Show (Henny Huisman) with a song called “Promise me”, and performed with some good Dutch artists. Early 2004 she -together with some other countrysingers- was filmed for several country DVD's.
In 2004/2005 these DVD's were released all over Europe.
In 2005 she joined one of the finest rock'n roll bands of the Netherlands "Of Course", they are also the band of Riem de Wolff (ex Blue Diamond singer.)

Colé Van Dais
South African singer/songwriter/actress/presenter.

Colé van Dais is a well known singer who has entertained crowds around South Africa and Namibia for many years. She has also performed in England, Scotland, Cyprus, Paris and the Scottish Isles at many types of events from massive music festivals, Casinos and holiday resorts to West End theatre productions.
Colé is an experienced and professional singer who has completed her training in 'Rock, pop and soul singing' with Carol Grimes at London's City Lit Colleague. Her vocals have been compared to artists such as Shakira, Alanis Morisette, Tori Amos and Madonna. A mezzo soprano with a strong rock/pop belt she comfortably performs all genre's from pop/rock to jazz.
She has had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists such as Bonnie Tyler, Village People, Julian Marley (son of Bob Marley), Lemar, Watershed, Claire Johnston (Mango Groove), Steve Hofmeyer, Just Ginger, Boo, Dozi, Patricia Lewis, etc. and has performed at 100's of festivals including The Rand Easter show, Dias Festival, Bloemfontein Rainbow show (South Africa), Ukkasie fees, Earlscourt festival, Nottinghill Carnival (England), Agia Napa stadium (Cyprus) and on the beautiful Isle of Skye. In UK she's done regular performances at Hyde park's 'Pizza on the Park', The Hilton Hotel, Madam Tausauds wax muzeum, and touring Park and Haven holiday resorts. She has performed at Sun City, Grace land casino, Monte casino, Aventura holiday resorts and many other venues.
Colé has recorded in South Africa (Universal studios) contributing to the compilation album 'SA se grootste treffers' and currently has two songs playing on SA radio. 'Ruby in the dust' written by French Actor, Euston Jones, and 'Tears with Champange', written by UK musical theatre producer and writer, Peter Greenwall. Colé recently participated in the World Song contest SA 2006 at Monte Casino and sang 'Tears with champagne' which was awarded a place on a compilation CD and DVD to be released internationally.
A versatile film, TV and theatre actress, Colé played the role of Prince Harry's girlfriend in his ITV documentary, toured UK in musical theatre productions 'Grease' and 'Flopstar' and hosted her own alternative health talk show on SKY TV in 2005.
She has appeared on many TV shows and films including UK Pop Idol presenters Ant and Dec's movie 'Alien Autopsy', Boys & girls, Trevor's world of sports, ITV Comedy sketch shows, The Rotter's club, Family affairs, Colour me Kubrick, Basic instinkt2, Midsummer murders, KTV, Jam Alley,Lets chat, The Toasty show, Teleschool amongst others.
Currently Colé has a variety of shows to offer her audience. As a solo artist performing a variety of originals and chart covers (Christina Augulera, Katie Melua, Nora Jones, Shakira, Sheryl Crow, The corrs); or as a tribute show singing and dressing as the original artists (Madonna, kylie, Shania Twain) as well as the glamerous James Bond Golden hits show. She performs as a boy/girl duo with very talented Nigerian pianist/keyboardist Ekemini performing a variety of up tempo and ballad chart covers from yesteryear till current hits.
