First things, First; 3strykz started as a three man group called the "Platinum Freestylaz" which owned three members named: Flo Jo(Lyricist), Morroco Mole(C-nite), and Fatha Tyme(B.Burna). They're all long time friends who met and grew up in Squaw Valley over a decade ago. Back then Fatha Tyme and M. Mole hated each other, but as years passed they became best friends. Flo Jo and M. Mole are 1st cousins, and Fatha Tymes' a friend of the family. But as you can see from their names they never took rappin seriously. The only equipment they had was a Windows 98 modeled computer with a built in microphone. The sound quality was terrible, but when thats all you have to work with beggers can't be choicey.[Lyricist speaks] I remember it was like March 2003; we did bout 13 songs and I took that shit to school. Everybody in photography class was just rollin; you know, cuz we used to say some funny ass shit. And me personally thats what I was all about saying some off da wall shit. But anyway, I came home and called my niggaz and told them. That was our boost of confidence and from then on we kept working and look where it got us.But as time moved on B.Burna(FathaTyme) said, "We need to start putting shit on paper," and from there, they completed there first written song called "Gold Diggaz," from the "I got 5 on it" instrumental. Then they progressed to complete another written song from the "Notorious Thugs" instrumental.[C-nite speaks] Notorious Thugs. Thats the verse that really pushed me to work even harder. Cuz at this tyme; im really starting to discover my talent. After that, they took rapping seriously; only problem now is a name. They came up with everything from "Huntsville Hustlaz," to "Quarter Six Boyz." After days of brainstorming, they met up with their uncle and he gave them the name 3strykz(maybe because he's on his last strike). By this time, Lyricist met up with a long time friend "J Rock da Sniper," who featured them on one of his on Tracks on July 11, 2003.[Lyricist speaks] Yeah, I knew J rock just about all my life, and he was the one that introduced us to the studio. He featured me and C-nite on a song called "Stop" from the TI "24's" instrumental. "Shouts out"1 Month later 3strykz returns to the studio with one of there own tracks, and returns the favor by featuring J rock on there very first professionally recorded song "Trademark."[B.burna speaks] Back then everything was so new to me, I didn't really know what to expect. I was worried that I may not sound tight or how people were going to embrace what I was talking about. I'll always remember that because that was my first time in a professional studio. I was actually suprised about the response I received from my group members. J-rock held me down too. He backed me up on my verse, which made me feel more readyThroughout the next couple of months 3strykz was in and out of the studio, completing songs such as: Act like a ho, Its ova, Ballin (Lil Jon's play no games instrum), Dirty Azz Ho, 1 night stand, What chu brangin, and Taught cha. With the handful of songs they had they quickly put together a seven song demo for their album "Betta Late than Neva," and single handedly dubbed and packaged 500 cds in 2 days![Cnite speaks] Damn, at the time I didn't know we did that many songs, because we move reeeeal slow. But I guess 10 songs in 10 months is bad; I remember that shit though, we had a performance at the "Black Arts Festival" and we had less than 2 days to burn all them damn cds, plus my slow ass computer burned like 7 cds a hr. We had a lil help though, and we made it. I still remember coming off that stage.[B.burna speaks] Before we got on that stage, everything that could have went wrong, did. From the equipment to our times being pushed back I thought we were in for it until that they announced our name. Mane right after we came off stage it was just like I pictured it the night before. We got good response and we didn't get booed off stage. Hell we showed off, for it to be our first performance. What meant the most to me is that my family got to see us do our thang.Little did they know, "Taught cha" and "What chu brangin" would be the last songs they recorded as a group for 2 years!!! After alot of street credit and fame 3strykz separated due to minor but major problems.[Lyricist speaks] At the time I felt like fuck everyone else but me and C-nite, because our so called manager, filled up Block Burna's head with alot of bullshit, therfore I had nothing to say to B. Burna anymore!!!Block Burna moved on to work on his solo album "Meltdown."Lyricist and C-nite remained as "3strykz," and replaced B.burna with "Lil Sassy." From thier, they worked on thier album called "Double or Nothin."{Defined: Hatas said we could'nt do it and we didn't, but we're back saying "Double or Nothin."}Lil SassyLil Sassy has been a close friend to 3strykz since day 1. She was also featured on the song "Ballin" which was recorded on Oct 16, 2003. Lil Sassy met Lyricist, C-nite, and B.burna in Squaw Valley in the summer of 2001.Separately they worked on their albums, made a few hits and gained radio credit. But something was missing, and they realized they worked much better as a team. So on the Twenty Fourth Day of May 2006 they overcame they're diffrences, and proceded to finish their never completed album "Betta Late Than Neva."
