Distortion began as a home recording project by lead guitarist Chris "Godfrey" Barker (CB) and vocalist Jason "Goliath" Hoare. As a duo they two demos recorded 2004 and 2007 In 2006 the album intitled "Sick in the Head" was released which was a major step forward technically and in terms of production It was in 2006 in which the duo decided it was time to take things a step further and formed a full live band.A friend called Mike was recruited on drums and brothers Paul and John Mitchell were given the task of Rhythm Axe and bass respectively. Practicing as a band began in the winter of 2006 and the first live peformance was in the spring of 2007. Unfortunatelydue to work commitments Mike had to leave and was replaced with Chris in the Summer who is currently a member of the band.
