DJ Al Ester has been into music since the age of 4. He could operate a stereo (back then called a record player) before he could walk. He played his first paid gig at the age of 13, and won his first dj contest at the age of 18. A protege' of the late Ken Collier, Al is a staple on the Detroit Dance scene. He has played on every major radio station in Detroit and was one of the first Detroit DJs to perform at the very first "Detroit Electronic Music Festival". He's perform with the likes of: Ron Carroll, Jeff Mills, Barbara Tucker, Derrick May, Eddie Fowkles, Delano Smith, Mike Clark, Norm Talley, Alton Miller, Kenny Dixon, Colonel Abrams and Danny Krivit to name just a few. Al is known for his very tasteful music selection and DJ showmanship and has rocked Detroit parties for over 2 decades. Al is well respected among his peers, and a staple in Detroit's House Music scene. Truly a Detroit legend.
