The Boise University Cultural Center exists to serve all the students of Boise State University irregardless of race, sexual orientation, religion, gender identity or ethnicity. It’s goals are ambitious and it’s focus is simple. We want to be a place where people come to discuss issues they might not be able to discuss anywhere else. We want to facilitate cross cultural understanding by raising awareness about the steps of identity development. We want to host passionate discussions and answer burning questions. We want to allow students to learn more about how to get involved with issues of social justice, equal opportunity and access. We’d like students to come away with new ways of thinking and challenging themselves to redefine notions of “tradition†and “diversityâ€. We want students to be agents of the social change they want to see.
