JAE JONAH was born in San Francisco, California to Joey & Nora Cruz of the Bay Area's Legendary CLOCKWISE BAND. Her mother being the lead singer and her father in the rhythm section, there's no denying JAE JONAH's talent. In the early 80's, due to the rapid rise in the economy, the family was forced to move across the Bay Bridge to the low income community of Richmond, CA. At age 4, JAE JONAH's father enrolled her in classical piano and clarinet lessons, in hopes that music would keep her off the streets. Being so heavily influenced by the Bay Area's Hip-Hop culture, by high school, JAE JONAH turned in her instruments for a microphone, becoming one of the hottest female mc's to come out of Richmond. By the 11th grade she joined the school choir and started making beats. After taking a short break due to the birth of her daughter Alana, JAE JONAH began taking lessons on music production at the San Francisco DJ Academy under the instruction of the Chi-town legend DUG INFINITE who is known for his works with COMMON, NO ID, and KANYE WEST. This is where she met WHYMEN GRINDIN' to later form the hottest new production team on the scene -THE AMBASSADORS. With so many musical influences stemming from birth, there's no wonder JAE JONAH has evolved into such an extraordinary talent one can only define as a RAPPING-SINGER-SONGWRITING-SUPER-PRODUCER!!!
