.. Video requires Quicktime 7 Born and raised in Waiahole Valley on the island of Oahu Jewlá (Jewl) is one of nine brothers and sisters. Raised in the musical theater world she left school at the age of 16 to join the Second National Tour of Miss Saigon where she would understudy the lead role of Kim. She would then get the role of Nala in the Los Angeles production of The Lion King at the age of 19 in 2001.
