Im in my seventh year with live unsigned band sessions every week & acoustic sets by local artists. There's over 60 of the sessions on video on bbc.co.uk/rawtalent
Iv'e had around 500 live sets on the show so far by some great bands.

to keep me busy when I'm not on the radio, I make music videos & TV programs, present the BBC Radio 1 Introducing Stage at Leeds/Reading Festival and others), chair loads of demo listening panels and music conferences & do band development work.
I've been doing workshops & Q&A since 1992 and currently work freelance through a great agent PEDESTAL MUSIC LTD it's a not for profit social enterprise www.myspace.com/pedestalmanagement . I'm also a Yorkshire Regional Adviser for The New Deal for Musicians programme.
I got into this line of work because my family are all musicians in the Irish folk world, 6 generations of musicians that we know about see www.myspace.com/rawfamily .
Iv'e been a musician with lots of bands and sessioned for various labels. Highlights include: playing Glastonbury, making a dub album with Benjamin Zephaniah, being featured in the book "Banging On" by Geof Nicholls, and getting John Peel dancing.
