About Me

1999 - 2007
After much soul searching, we as Nerve Engine have had to make the most difficult decision of our lives and decide to call it a day.
After 8 years of ups and downs we are, as you can imagine, all very sad that it has come down to this.
There are no personal reasons, no bad blood or resentment involved. We are all still the best of friends and it will remain that way. After years of overcoming the odds that have always been stacked against us from day one and achieving some amazing things, things many signed bands with backing never achieve, we just feel that this has all taken its toll and have to come to the realisation that the industry side of the music business just does not want to help us and for us to progress to the next level as a band we unfortunately need them.
We have seen the bad side of the industry and underground music scene in the UK but this has been far outweighed by the positive side, the great people, venues, promoters and bands. We have met many, many amazing people and musicians who have inspired us and made us feel welcome. People who have encouraged us and taken us to their hearts and it is to these people that we extend heartfelt thanks, gratitude and admiration, you played a part in making this band as good as it was.
So to these people, we thank you for being a part of the history of a band that made a difference to people and a band I feel personally to be one of the best in the country.

most of all though thank you to everyone who cared enough to listen to our music, come to a show, buy a cd or t-shirt or who just let us know we made even a small difference to them.
There are undoubtedly people I have missed off the list as there have been hundreds of people who have contributed to the many great times we had as a band so I apologise to them.
On a personal level I have to thank Andrew, Kris, Mark and Iain for being in a band with me and I will always be proud to have played with the best group of musicians I have ever come across.
Finally I would ask all of you who enjoy our music to not let it die. Keep on listening, this band deserves to be remembered so turn it up and crank it out loud!
This has been the single most important thing in our lives for the last 8 years and it is because of you it has been the best 8 years of our lives.
Thank you for everything, we will never foget it.
Love and Riffage
David, Andy, Mark, Kris and Iain.
