Music I can sing along with, Ani DiFranco, Dar Williams, Patty Griffin, The Dixie Chicks, Nick Drake, Iron and Wine, Damien Rice, Modest Mouse, Pinback, Postal Service, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Reggae, Pop Music, Lionel Richie, Outkast, Britney Spears (pre-K.Fed), Justin Timberlake (post-Britney), Tupac, 80's music, cheesy love song music like Don Henley and Chicago and Bruce Hornsby, Mix CD's by Deborah Tarica, any music involving the sexiest man alive Andy Campanella including (but not limited to) The Garden of Earthly Delight, Under Carl, and "I Think I'll Stay Awhile" and even music by his older brother's band, The Quarter After, who I think kick ass too.
Back to the Future Trilogy, Secretary, John Hughes Films, Almodovar films (I'm essentially torn between being a teenie-bopper and a film-snob), The Goonies, Napolean Dynamite, Little Miss Sunshine, Garden State, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, A Chorus Line, Moulin Rouge and most other musicals, Once is a great Irish musical, movies with unrealistic chase scenes like My Best Friend's Wedding, Bridget Jones 1 and 2, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Notting Hill...it's a mild obsession of mine...
Okay, I never sit down, period. So how can I watch TV? But I do watch Lost religiously, and it is arguably the best show I've ever seen. Grey's Anatomy is a close second. I also like Law & Order SVU, The Office, Peep Show, Jeopardy and old re-runs of Seinfeld and The Simpsons. I watch the news sometimes too, but it just pisses me off.
Books by Augusten Burroughs, Film Theory, memoirs, The Catcher in the Rye, The Kite Runner, my diaries/journals...James Frey has a cool writing style. I don't care whether he was embellishing his stories in A Million Little Pieces of My Friend Leonard or not they're still very interesting...David Sedaris is the best memoir writer ever, however I NEVER want to meet him for fear he will write something about me!
The marketing campaign behind Bud Light's "Real Men of Genius" radio jingles. Mister 80 SPF sunblock wearer guy? I mean, what could be more funny!? Kill me.
