About Me

Like the sign says I'm an official card carrying member of the "Breast Cancer Survivor's Club" Well I don't actually have a card & there isn't really an official club...but you get the picture. I could go into my whole story but since I'm so verbose it would take up too much room. I do like telling it because it's like a wild roller coaster ride. So if you want to hear it just ask!!O.K. off the whole Breast Cancer story what else "about me" I love to listen to REALLY LOUD music & sing along. The sound of my son's voice is the sweetest sound I've ever heard in my life. I've known my husband for 11 years & his smile can still stop me dead in my tracks. I miss living within proximity of the ocean. Lets see what else....I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up but I'm not that concerned about it anymore!!Layout made by

My Interests

I am interested in art, music, and fashion. I love to hear new bands and re-discover old ones too. I also enjoy and get very inspired by other artist's illustrations, paintings, and photographs. I used to draw & paint all the time to keep my sanity but when I had to do it for my job it lost it's appeal for me. I am taking baby steps towards making art for myself again.

I'd like to meet:

I started out with the intention of meeting fellow Breast Cancer Survivors but it has been an even more interesting journey of finding artists and musicians. Some are taking up the responsibility to raise awareness and advocacy for Breast Cancer which makes me so happy. But mostly I have found some great bands whose music I find entertaining, inspiring and remind me why I love music and art so damn much!!!

Music:

80's punk, funk, and new wave!! Current music I enjoy would be Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The White Stripes, Ladytron, Beck, Garbage, Goldfrapp. Too many to list!!! Just refer to my friends list.

Movies:

Betty Blue, Life is Beautiful, Dot the I, Amelie, The Hunger, Better off Dead, Office Space, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Sixteen Candles, Everything is Illuminated

Television:

1) What Not to Wear!!!! I fantasize about working on that show. I like both the American & the BBC version.2) Design on a Dime (HGTV home shows rock)3) The Office4) Good Eats (Alton Brown is a food god!!)

Books:

"Why I Wore Lipstick To My Mastectomy" by Geralyn Lucas. It was an amazing book that every young Breast Cancer Survivor should read. Her strength, courage, & humor is truly inspiring.

Heroes:

All my fellow Breast Cancer Survivors!!!! Oh & Wonder Woman too
