About Me

OK..........Artist, mountain-raised with a "day-job," so that I may play music as much as I possibly can. The early musical experiences were really magical....I just didn't know it at the time. Out of the gate, I worked at Killer Music Studios on Sunset and Vine in Hollywood. Exploration and foresight resulted in years of sticking my toes in the waters of temptation. Hindsight stays with me always. Married a San Marino guy and divorced after a good dose of "what the hell is out there?" Believe me, I found it!!....and NO...I did not take it with me!!! I love my cat Lilly. Raised by creative intellect's with a small town taste for deep roots, organic gardening, simple abundance and good living...Great memories........we all miss my Dad. I play percussion, mandolin and vocals in a duo band AngelRhodes. Organic expression..Two multi-instrumental songwriters breaking every rule. myspace.com/angelrhodesduo Currently in the studio trying to capture some of the passion. Two years of reahearsals and gigs playing percussion with Portland Songwriter contest winners Sound Spell brought me the Portland music scene. Jam nights a-plenty..it rocks! I enjoyed many years playing music with the band ZuluVision (formerly Jerry's Kid's)a Grateful Dead Tribute band with creative heartfelt originals and an employable count of "cool" covers. Nothing can replace the sweet jammin' days and nights of this band. Puts a smile on my face........you know? Most Grateful and Dead friendly. I was auditioned into a nine piece horn band called The Brass Knuckles as their lead singer. The "cats" are made up of an assortment of music profs, teachers and prodigy's that picked "me," to wail out some tunes with them. I was honored and oh yes.....feel the blues! Percussion with a Christian rock band Prodigal! Good times. Latest artistic passion....brewing beer!
