Charlie HelmickBiography:Charlie was born into a family of talented musicians and vocalists, where most Sundays featured gatherings around an old upright piano. Guitars were as common in his home as houseplants are in most.It was not long before his vocal talents were recognized at County Fairs and Festivals. Sings songs of the legends of Country Music like Ray Price and Conway Twitty. During his school years he was recognized by his music teachers and asked to join Honors Chorus from his Sixth grade year threw High School. Singing at school dances and sometimes just for fun.In Nineteen Eighty Charlie joined the United States Marines and completed a four-year tour. During this time Charlie entertained his fellow Marines, singing in the enlisted mans clubs and during special events. Charlie was given an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Corporal in Nineteen Eighty Four.Then in Two-Thousand Charlie began a new quest to make a mark for himself in Music. After performing in Nashville Tennessee he was selected by Showtime to record a four-song demo. One song from the demo was placed on a Compilation CD and sent over seas. This song “Hell on Wheels” did very well in Europe and was in the Top Five according to the European Country Music Association. This placed Charlie as the Sixth Top Ranked Artist in the Independent Market in May of Two-Thousand Four.Charlie has been recognized by the Tennessee Country Music Alliance as their Golden Elite Male Vocalist of the Year, Male World Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year for “Going Home”, Video of the Year and Patriotic Song of the Year. He is the Texas River Male Vocalist of the Year and Airplay Internationals Pioneer New Artist and Lifetime Achievement Award Winner.Now Charlie is working on securing a Record Deal and hitting the United States Music Market.

Influences: Life long Country Music Fan. Grew up to the sounds Of Ray Price, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings , Merle Haggard and John Cash. Now I enjoy more popular country music as well in the syles of Garth Brooks.
