Le Swiss Army Knife of Rock

About Me

After playing as a side-man for such acts as Paul K and the Weathermen and Chris Mills, fronting the Sublunars, Sansaran and other Indie-rock fiascos, and writing and performing music for theater and film, Where the Pale Girls Go is Matt Reed’s first solo release.Partially paid for through an endless cycle of wedding gigs, "Where the Pale Girls Go," was intermittently recorded at Narnia Studios in Logan Square, Chicago and on a Tascam 4 Track cassette recorder during late 2003 and 2004. The album was produced by Frost and Matt Reed and mastered by Bob Katz.Playing most of the tracks himself, the 13 songs on the album highlight Matt Reed’s abilities as a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Matt's accordion, guitar, clarinet, bass, drum, and harmonica playing is bolstered by the incomparable violin playing of Zach Brock and the pedal steel playing of Brian Wilke,When not making music, Matt performs and writes music for theater. He is currently playing out in support of Where the Pale Girls Go as fast as he and his band Sansaran can be booked.
