About Me

I'm a session musician/ songwriter/ music teacher and student from ROMFORD. My main instruments are PIANO, VIOLIN and VOCALS. I used to be the occasional fiddler for the legendary country, blues and rock band, RAGMOP!! RAGMOP have supported such great acts as CHAS N DAVE, SANDY DILLON, ALABAMA 3, CHESNEY HAWKS, MR DAVID VINER and are linked to Detroit's THE DEADSTRING BROTHERS (In that Spencer and Jeff play with the Deadstings too). I'm currently working with (Jeff) BEARD, a band sprung from the ashes of RAGMOP, and perform my own songs as well as the Cullum brothers songs with them. I'm heavily influenced by my love of the New Orleans, GUMBO piano styles of DR. JOHN and the soulful, delta mississippi blues and spiritual gospel sound of DELANEY AND BONNIE. I study Music at GOLDSMITHS COLLEGE (London) and play violin for the Goldsmiths Sinfonia. I also teach kids piano and violin. Other artists that I have worked with include: OLBINA, COLIN POLLOCK, TOM BAXENDALE, MR DAVID VINER, MORNING BRIDE, and NEV HAWKINS. I'm (hopefully) available for fiddle, piano, keyboard or vocal session work so if you like the demo do get in touch at: [email protected] n love........................Sarah Louise Gonputh..................................................... .............................................
