Corporal Machine and the Bombers

About Me

“Save us! Please…. Save us from our own lack of vision” cry the easily led youths queuing for their copy of N.M.E. Indeed, in times of trouble desperate people will latch on to any old flotsam, convinced that it will be their saviour in the harsh waters of Friday night. The only things Corporal Machine and the Bombers are trying to save is their integrity, as they float above the posers and chancers of east London to bring you a joyous celebration of these miserable times. In a world without meaning we all need a release, and the Bombers euphonic skiffle-punk is there to drag your head out of the oven and rejoice in the fact that we’re all going down, while the Corporal’s sweet and sour poetry joins the dots in your head to show you what you already half knew, that there can be happiness at the bottom of a glass, the masses aren’t to be trusted and crack cocaine is a very risky business!
"Corporal machine will be here for a few more years yet" The Yorkshire evening herald
"corporal machine- shit as a man" The Newham Recorder
"Its like madness having a fight with chas and dave in a piss stained alley somewhere near the bells of whitechapel on a friday night" Mark (previously from Eastenders)
"A complete cunt" The bombers neighbours
"Well they're better than Beethoven aint they" Rose on Bong
"Bittersweet melodic symphonies, with echoes of jeffrey lewis and bob dylan" Green eyes and pink smiles
"Tony Mole is the strangest Song i have ever heard" Benjamin
"it's a bit like Chas and Dave on Acid"
