Band Members: RIC BYER- Drums, Extended Range Bass and Vocals:

I am a drummer from Montreal who for the last 7 years toured South East Asia (Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia) playing 6 nights a week. I played Rock, R&B, Funk and Acid Jazz. The last 3 years I played jazz as the house drummer of the Bamboo Bar in the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok - considered the best jazz bar in Asia. Some of the singers I played with are Alice Day, Maci Miller, Anne Weerapass, Cheryl Hayes and Barbara Raimondi. I played everything from Coltrane to Coleman .

Was a Chapman Stick player for about 15 years I now have rediscovered my "Klein" and use it as my primary instrument (check pics the bass I used for 5 years), always going through my Marshall 1974X (I adore this amp!). This year I will take the plunge for a 7 string. Oh Yeah I love a good Ale as well!!!!

Influences: King Crimson, Miles Davis, Cocteau Twins, Jeff Beck, Tony Williams, Trilok Gurtu, Tom Jones, Bill Bruford ,David Bowie, Ornette Coleman, Mick Karn, Steve Swallow, Sex Pistols, Pat Metheny, Jeff Buckley, Jimi Hendrix, Alan Holdsworth, King's X, Bill Frisell, Bob Marley, Tony Levin, Robert Fripp Eric Johnson, Jaco Pastorius, Beatles, Japan, Terry Bozzio, Peter Erskine, Manu Katche, Coltrane, Bjork, Kate Bush, Zep, Meshell Ndegeocello, Rush, Police,Jason Gifford, Dave Wallace, Eric Lange, Peter Valsamis, Level 42, Yes, Simon & Garfunkel......Too Many More to mention
Sounds Like: "FraKtaL" and "Parasite / Detox "are double trio songs ....meaning on the left side is a trio playing in one time signature and key and on the right side is another trio playing in a differnt time signature and tempo and key. I just felt like exploring sonic and rhythmic collision/colusion, whilst at the same time balance musicianship (keeping me challenged) and songcraft. . I plan in continuing more in this vain."Light "is a little more coventional which hopefully balances me out and keep in a little sane ;)Cheers!
