Out of the many things I wish to have, My greatest wish is to have the ability to take away the pain and suffering of those living with diseases, in poverty, and children without parents to call their own. I cried when I visit the orphanages and special camps treating people with leprosy in Vietnam. My heart was drained when I touched the faces of these innocent children. I tried to imagine what it's like to never be able to say the two words "mom" and "dad". Visiting the people with leprosy and those with disabilities was an even greater challenge for me. I wanted to close my eyes to the sight of all these unfortunate people crowding around me. I wished that when I open my eyes, it was all just a bad dream. But no, this is reality! Reality is there are millions of people suffering. We must not close our eyes and pretend that they are not there! These people did not ask to be plagued with disease and they did not do anything sinful to be punished in such horrific ways.
It is hard to understand why life decides to challenge us in ways that it does..
There are so many of us taking everything we have for granted while others are dying from lacking the neccessities of life. We spend so much on the things we dont need, while others are digging around for a piece of garbage to feed their family. All I ask of you today is... if you could find it somewhere in your heart;..help me to help them...
