About Me

I'm a recovering caffeine junkie. I love New Orleans. I was born on the bayou, but my parents are from Arkansas, so I guess that makes me a Cajun/redneck. Best of both worlds, y'all. My sister is a home-health nurse who used to tell me gross stories about people in the ER. I haven't heard any new ones lately, and I can't repeat my favorites. I have a dog named Chloe who almost never barks.

Let's Find Out!

Music:

Pretty much anything my friend Korey plays (on his sound system) though I prefer it at a less deafening decibal level, jazz (Miles Davis-style, not Kenny G, that would be "jazz"), country music that doesn't sound like country music, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave., gospel rap like KJ52 and Lecrae (Rollin'wit my top down, listenin' to that Jesus music), Phantom of the Opera, Mike Foster Project, and the now-defunct Burlap to Cashmere.
The Movie Of Your Life Is A Cult Classic
Quirky, offbeat, and even a little campy - your life appeals to a select few.
But if someone's obsessed with you, look out! Your fans are downright freaky.

Your best movie matches: Office Space, Showgirls, The Big Lebowski If Your Life Was a Movie, What Genre Would It Be?

Movies:

O Brother, Where Art Thou?, The Usual Suspects, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (original cartoon version), Trekkies 1 and 2, Best in Show, Joe versus the Volcano, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, For Your Consideration, Stranger than Fiction, Pan's Labyrinth, Hotel Rwanda, Rush Hour 1 and 2, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, Pan's Labyrinth.

Television:

I hate to admit this, but I have watched some episodes of Desperate Housewives. I actually know who Bree van der Kamp is. Now that I have confessed that, the only TV show I ever watch on a regular basis is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. House is pretty cool sometimes, too.

Books:

When Bad Christians Happen to Good People, The Dogs of Babel, In Cold Blood, The Hiding Place, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Holidays on Ice, Velvet Elvis, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Blue Like Jazz, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight, Catcher in the Rye, Sex God, Myth of a Christian Nation.

Heroes:

Jesus of Nazareth, Jon Stewart, Rob Bell, Maria Bamford, Gregory Boyd, David Sedaris, female church pastors, the inventor of the automobile air-conditioner

Tonight, I went to the Wild Game Supper in Larose. It was a pretty awesome deal. You basically go down this long buffet line of dishes cooked with bizarre kinds of animals that you would usually find ...
