Joseph Graniczny was born in 1978 in Ft: Worth,Texas . He has lived in various places from Chicago,Illinois Liverpool,England , Milano,Italy and Jerusalem,Israel among many others.
He has had a life time enjoyment of reading that progressed into a love of writing. He wrote his first short story in the second grade and never quit from there. His writing has encompassed Short stories, comedies, scripts, poems, lyrics, occasional love notes and the ever elusive novel he is trying to finish. His mother always encouraged him to read at an early age. At age four he started reading Mark Twain and the classics, by age eight he was reading Tom Clancy and Larry Niven.
Family issues growing up led him to focus on making others laugh so that they could forget life for awhile. He got used to dealing with things on his own and getting on with life in unpleasant circumstances and being smart and funny and subversive at the expense of authority. A youth spent with little or nothing to do drove his imagination onward as well as his writing. Free time was spent by writing his own works or reading a book.
In 1995-1997 he traveled the world in self exile. He enjoyed back-packing through Europe, Africa and the Middle East with a song in his heart and spirits high. During these travels he was busy writing poetry, taking photographs, making friends and exploring the world around him. One accomplishment was hitchhiking through the Middle East by himself at 18 years of age. At one point he even lived and worked with Bedowin natives in Jordan for three months. Other times have brought him through other places through much of the rest of the world.
He enjoys painting, writing, playing and producing music, photography, hunting, sailing, spending time with his children and relaxing. Other interests include peace and love, political activity (He did intern as a youth with the local Democratic Party), environmental activism, cancer awareness and fighting for the rights of the hearing impaired among many other causes and beliefs.
He currently resides in North Texas but due to the sad fact of stalker issues must claim that he is currently not certain exactly where he lives,or with whom. Though the whom does involve raising two children on his own and some pets. Joseph plans to continue painting until he goes blind, working with music until he goes deaf, making jokes until he breaks his funny bone and writing in all genre until he dies from a massive case of writers cramp.
