I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Well, describing me really depends on the mood and what's going on and most importantly what medications I'm on-all too true lately- and how they are acting inside of me, and what mood my girls are in, when I hear from both of them these days. I am a living walking contridiction, I'm a hard heart cynic that's also a hopeless romantic at the same time. I try to keep light hearted and joke and I try to be easy going, I don't always pull it off (like in my recent Blog posts that seem to have taken off in a life of their own towards the dark side) but I was getting better at it and if you stick around you'll see the mood swing the other way soon enough. I always seem to find myself in impossible situations doing impossible things. I'm in love with two women and married to one of them and the other is my best friend and they get along (Of course having a timezone between us helps, lol) but I do realize how rare and special that is to have a wife that understands and I do wonder why, out of the millions of people in the world the one friend who really understands me as a friend is a woman. Good friends are rare though so never take them for granted. Bottom line, if it's the job that no one else will do, odds are I'll be next in line to do it. I have a very broad sense of humor and I value trust, friendship and loyalty with those close to me. For the most part a good time is a good story, but a bad time can be a GREAT story later on when it's time to retell it and laugh. My interests are so varied but you can kind of get an idea from this page and going through my photos. I'm pretty boring, No sky diving, mountain climbing or hollywood starlet stalking or anything like that. I just don't have the energy to attempt those kinds of things anymore, I used to bounce when I fall and now I shatter -it's the years AND the mileage. These days I'm happy to read a book about idiots freezing to death on top of K2 but really don't have the desire to try it myself anymore. If I could stand the heat with this body the only adventure that I would like to try is stalking a lepeord in the wild, just to see it. I have enough Irish luck to have a wife that shares almost all of my interests including pin up girls and music, movies and all the little details and temperments that can make or break a relationship. While most people have career plans and goals in their life, I have sort of gone through my years doing what ever interested me or I needed to do to bring home a paycheck. I have found the hard way that solid plans always seem to cause my life to come apart like a Vegas marriage but if I just play it by ear something always seems to come along. I have enjoyed most of the things that I have gotten into to keep the food and shelter thing going, doing everything from working on ranches and a dairy and saw mill in Wyoming to digging graves and testing new prototype phones here in the DC area. Now I work as a part time church janitor and am at this time a full time job seeker and try enjoy a very low key life in our tiny North West DC apartment. While I don't have a 401k or long term career goals, I do have a chest full of memories from my experiences that none of that can ever buy.(Yeah sure, but it sounds good right?) You just never know what may be just around the corner, good or bad. I like to laugh with friends, listen to music and watch movies, check things out around town, take lots of photos, tell stories, listen to a well told stories, eat, and lots of other things I can't think of at the moment. I'm honestly a broken down trainwreck and a "has been", but us train wrecks can be lots of fun when we get started. I have to laugh at myself, life's too short not to laugh and I'd rather laugh until I cry than just cry any day. I also value friends who share entirly diffrent outlooks, orientations and religions, we can respect each others views and outlooks with out having to agree or force these kinds of things on each other if we let the freindship grow and be stronger. It's all about respect. Above all, if I call you my friend or tell you I love you, I mean it and I'm not shy about saying it either, there's been too many friends and family I never got the chance to say that to. In short, I'm wondering my way through life with my hands in my pockets, taking it all in and enjoying everything I can...

My Interests

I sometimes enjoy shooting a crappy game of pool in the air conditioning at our favorite little place in Bethesda on hot summer saturdays with my wife and friends and some times just heading out on a whim, not knowing where we are going to be in an hour and some times on cold winter days going wandering for hours in the National Gallery just lost deep in thought and awe that they would let someone like me even near all those original pieces of art. When times get tough I also make a point to go down and walk past the White House and remind myself what a historical city I do live in now. I also like listening to live music, celtic, blues and rock the most but I also like reading, daydreaming, my art work,photography- people, events, trains, fire trucks and anything else that comes to mind,Nascar-Carl Edwards and Dale & Jimmie Johnson, railroading and aircraft, military history ..writing & poetry, watching people and crazy things around the city, roadtrips, visiting and entertaining with friends,a good cigar, The Nationals and the Redskins (Yes I know they sort of suck, but the bright side is it's sort of like Christmas when they do win!)and I really like Bettie Page
glitter-graphics.com and vintage and modern vintage style pin up photos and artwork, Garters & stockings and high heels and sexy shoes,Other vintage and goth styles, and Sharks and Shark conservation and melanistic Leopords and Jaguars and Moutain Lions and the other smaller urban wildlife seen out the apartment windows.

I'd like to meet:

My friends who are already on here and just about anyone else who would like to be friends, I like meeting people from all over. Life goes by fast, it's best to enjoy it and share it with those you like being around. I'm not too much into meeting famous people but I wouldn't turn down a dinner and a dark late night beach walk with Sushmita Sen
glitter-graphics.comIf I had a time machine I'd pick Bettie Page in her prime. Hang out in the desert with Louie L'Amoure but most of all I'd love to spend a evening campfire in the African wilds listening to tales from Peter Hathaway Capstick
