About Me

I have been playing the drums since the age of 8. After 22 years of playing the drums I opened a recording Studio in 2000 with a good friend of mine named John Beard (Blackbeard Studio). In 2005 after a 5 year run and hundreds of recordings John moved Blackbeard Studio to Nashville and I opened a new studio called Songbird Studio located in the 619 (San Diego). Music is my life. I was signed to Virgin Records before my 20th birthday, traveled to almost all the states in America and have been to 3 different countries. Played drums for Asphalt Ballet, 13-A, Crank Wrench Audio, the antidivision, Deadtime Radio, Downtown Moneywasters, Bad Animals w/ Joey Bowen, Ruby Slippers, Street Angel, Shock, Infamous and Bastille. Recorded Hard-Fi, Mother Mae I, Tall, Festerbilt, Fith, Electric Junkies, Goulspoon, Awaiting Samsara, The Evergreens, Disgorge, Castillo, Arm the Angels and many others. I've done live sound for Motorhead, The Sword, Cat Power, Billy Idol, Iggy Pop, Gogo Bordello, KRS1, Supersuckers, Rhino Bucket, Nashville Pussy, Hard Fi, LA Guns, Media Lab, Divided by Zero, Metal Church, Accident Experiment and countless others. I'm the FOH engineer @ The Brick by Brick in San Diego CA.

My Interests

Art in all forms. My beautiful girlfriend Kristy. In school I hated history but now days I'm a fucking Historian. The world wide web!

I'd like to meet:

I've have met Little Richard, David Bowie, Eddie Van Halen, Billy Idol, Iggy Pop, KRS1 and a grip of others on their way up or on their way out of societies spotlight. It's always cool to meet famous people. On the top of my list of people to meet would be the audacious audiophile and hirsute cultural oracle Rick Rubin. This guy has his finger on the trigger.

Music:

Don't get me started. I don't watch MTV. I do however keep my ear to ground when it comes to music. I like good music, something that strikes a chord in me. I can find something good in all genres of music. You just gotta sift through the crap.

Movies:

DVD: I like to watch Lost, Six feet under, 24 and Soprano's. I watch alot of movies.

Television:

KPBS! History Channel, A & E Etc....I watched the OJ trial everyday like a daytime soap. If the glove don't fit you must ........ Unbelievable.

Books:

I read alot of books about the body, spirt and the mind.

Heroes:

Randy Picorelli (80's) , Greg Edward (90's), John Beard (00's). Thank you for your knowledge you shared with me. Spacial thanks to the one person in the music business that was truly unselfish and delivered, Myron G.! Anyone who wants to know who this is or the story behind it feel free to email me.
