flattered by the strange things in life – my mind often wanders – i cry easily – i laugh – i cry – i pee my pants - i wish i could fly - i enjoy giving people a hard time if they let me – id like to think im a tough gal but in reality i have a very sensitive side – as for my love of photography... sally mann is a great artistic influence as well as my midwestern roots and upbringing in the country... seeing the raw beauty of my subjects in natural settings and natural lighting – a trip to new york about 10 years ago proved pivotal... my experience of capturing nyc amidst the fall season through the lens convinced me to pursue seeing what more i could capture – working directly under the president + publisher at los angeles magazine and in the same office as w for over 5 years then becoming a freelancer for dwell magazine in many aspects helped me to refine my visual sense – i like to connect emotionally with my subjects while documenting life... my friends... my way of looking at the world... and circumstances of the human form – im self taught and could learn more technical camera stuff... so please dont ask me any difficult questions as i dont consider myself a pro... using the camera is more an art form of enjoyment that lies within allowing my eyes to capture – im thoroughly blessed and blessed to have the eyes to see – im a mama – a wife – a loyal friend.
