Mary Shaw is the off-spring of what used to be Bullets Over Broadway, a five piece metal band based out of metro Detroit. After parting ways with their original drummer the band decided to scrap old material and start fresh with new drummer, Josh Badura. This took place in the winter of 07’. Currently the band is very busy writing songs and working on getting a new EP recorded for all to hear. In the mean time if you’re curious as to what Mary Shaw has going on, COME TO A SHOW!!!

It is my sentiment that women have a great deal more power, socially, than men. It's really up to them who's having sex on any given night. Really, the only clear-cut advantage we men have over them is the ability to scream like psycho killers ... and piss standing up.Mary Shaw does what Arch Enemy does: features a bunch of attractive women (and one attractive dude) beating the fuck out of you while singing like dudes. "We usually just explain to people that we have an old skool power metal root to us ... but with breakdowns and 'tough guy (girl)' vocals," said guitarist Jennica. "Other than that ... we like to dabble in lots of fingerstyle tapping and some rock 'n' roll swing riffs."We write as a band," she continued. "So many bands don't do that anymore; whether it's a time issue or a distance and gas issue. We also try to throw things into our songs that can 'remind' the crowd that most of us are female, like adding in melodic parts or clean vocals. Our lyrics/song titles can sometimes let guys in on our side a little bit, as well. For example, our newest song is titled 'Robot Sex' — it is about having sex with a dildo; a machine; which is basically like getting frisky with a robot. We like to write about sex from our points of view in a raunchy/metal/sleazy sort of way." God they're fucking mean. See them at the Myspace Internet Café in Roseville on September 22 and be amazed.
