My Interests

I have no real interests that I can think of...probably comedy, which is my job and a good chunk of my life. I used to like to play softball and own a jet-ski, does that count? How about this...I'm a HUGE pro-wrestling fan and to this day still try to be home on Monday nights for RAW. My loser label comes with a capital "L". I also really like to run, hike and occasionally ride my bike. That's it, I'm done.

I'd like to meet:

This is an interesting question, and I'm going to give an "out of left field" response. Ready? Matt LeBlanc! He played Joey on "Friends" and never failed to make me laugh my ass off. I respect his ability to bring such a character to life. Damn NBC for putting his spin-off on the shelf.

Music:

Are you ready to see what a loser I am? Here we go...Journey, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Motley Crue, Chicago, Barry Manilow...sweet Jesus, what's wrong with me?

Movies:

Here they are in no particular order...Rain Man, The Green Mile, Fools Rush In, 28 Days Later, The Patriot, and any movie that doesn't have Russel Crowe in it (except Cinderella Man, that was a good one).

Books:

Hmmmm...books you say, huh? I tend to like writings that are rooted in truth or actual events that have happened, like the OJ Simpson murder case or the assasination of JFK. One great one I read recently was "Under and Alone" which is about DEA agent, William Queen infiltrating the Mongols motercycle gang, good stuff!

Heroes:

This is an easy one...my Mom and Dad. My mother courageously battled cancer and never once asked "why me?". I miss her every single day and she is never far from my thoughts. My father was the kind of man I always hope I can be one day. He built an amazing life for himself and his family from the most humble of beginnings. He was truly a special person and although he's gone now remains my inspiration.

My Blog

Do you know why I pulled you over?

I just performed at my first college show in almost two years and guess what?  I chewed it!  Well, maybe "chewed it" is a little overboard, but it certainly wasn't a comfortable performance,...

The Windy City and beyond

My seemingly endless comedy tour this week finds me in the tiny hamlet of Overland Park, KS where I'm performing at Famous Johnnys Comedy Club.  Things got off to a rousing start last night with ...

Californication and the damn airlines

After three long years as a resident of the Golden State, I think I may finally be embracing the vastly different lifestyle that is Los Angeles compared to just about everywhere else I've ca...

The climb to the top

I'm in one of my favorite places to work this week, San Antonio, TX.  They have a great attraction here called the Riverwalk which is basically a river that winds it's way through the down...

Come and knock on our door

Let us blog... I sure don't write as often as I used to, huh?  There was a time when I'd hit the keyboard each and every day, now it's down to once a month or so.  Maybe ...

OUT OF BUSINESS

I just received word, from a fairly reputable source, that The Comix Cafe in Rochester, NY is officially closed and out of business. Word on the street is that the IRS showed up and chained the doors ...

The death of comedy in Rochester, NY

I'm often asked as I travel around this big, blue marble of our's where my favorite place to perform is, and I've never really been able to answer that question as each club and city offers at least a...

Not guilty!

My blogs seem to be getting fewer and far between, maybe I'm losing interest in getting my life story down on "paper", huh?  Or maybe I'm just lazy, who knows?  Either way, it's up...

Nobody of comedy? Maybe, maybe not

I've often described my career as one of being just successful enough to keep me from quitting and just enough of a pain in the ass to make me think I want to.  I haven't reached a lot of the goa...

The Road-ski

Another week of life on the road has come to an end and I'm now killing a few days off in my often-used, temporary digs, the South Bend, IN Funny Bone condo, waiting for next Saturday when...
