Vaneta Rogers

I need a damned beer.

About Me

I am all about breaking stereotypes and being who I want to be and accepting people for who they are too. For example:
I own a business in the construction industry, with a hardhat in the back of my car and a forklift I drive around my warehouse...
BUT ...
I'm also an avid outdoorswoman who loves to swim and go camping and horseback ride and kayak...
BUT ...
I am also an avid comic book reader, who geeks out over the latest developments with Spider-Man and Superman and loves the smell of ink on paper that fills a comic shop on Wednesday mornings...
BUT ...
I am also an over-40 mom who lives in the Midwest in an upper middle-class neighborhood in the heart of suburbia, who likes to take pictures of my kids and paste them in scrapbooks with little paper hearts and stickers around them...
BUT ...
I am an internet junkie who uses the world wide web to communicate, posting on my own geeky blog and myspace page, even making a little money pursuing my hobbies online...
AND ...
I am a writer who enjoys just writing about real people and their real jobs and their dreams and stories and creative pursuits, although I have a few writing-related creative pursuits of my own...
SO ...
I am all of those things, wrapped up into a woman who doesn't believe in doing what is expected of her, and doesn't expect everyone else to fit into any pre-determined stereotype either.
If you want to know more, write me a message and get to know about me!
By the way, I'm a huge fan of these books and movies:
Where I wish I still was:
At a cafe in Rome tucked into a small piazza, drinking the house wine and telling stories with friends...
