Lolita Lebron is an active independence advocate and was the leader of a group of Nationalists who attacked the U.S. House of Representatives in 1950 .At a young age Lolita was a stern believer in the idea of Puerto Rican independence. She became a member of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party founded by Pedro Albizu Campos. Lolita Lebron is 84 years old and she still continues to participate actively in pro-independence activities.
