G.Marcell started spinning at 89.3 WKKC on Sound Waves in Chicago on saturday mornings Back in 1991 (as Suga Bear). In 1994 he ventured off to Michigan where he was a resident at Roller Haven (skating rink) and Modern Rock Cafe (Pontiac, MI). Through that time period his name was Ill Shorty. Returning to Chicago in 1997 he started hosting and spinning once again on 89.3 WKKC's Friday Nite Audio. Also spent at The Prop House w/ Tony T, Brian Furious Frazier, DJ George, Mike Fever, The Black Expo (McCormick Place) R&B Artist Tank, The Aqua Night Club, Three on Three King of The Court DJ Phantom, Sundance (WGCI), Pajas, Club Infinity (in Indiana), and much more. In 2002 dropping his first E.P. w/ Bumpincity he then decided to change his name to G.Marcell. As of now he continues to produce and remix music and stay on a spiritual plane in the process.
