Influences: HERE IS WHAT THE PRESS SAY ABOUT US:The Swings are a band building a real niche in the Cambridge music scene with their catchy melodic pop and were recently one of the only unsigned acts to play London's LoveBox Weekender alongside headlining acts such as Jamiroquai and Hotchip. Their sound doesn't fit neatly into any boxes, but acoustic guitar accompanied by cello, electric guitar, lo-fi keyboards and dreamy close backing harmonies gives their music an eccentric, quirky and upbeat feel, and audiences are really taking notice of their whimsical but thoughtful tunes.THE EXPLORER MAGAZINE AUGUST 2006
