About Me

Pippi --
[noun]:

A poltergeist sent back in time to change the course of history forever

'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.comXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I like: a warm smile, a fiesty nature, a dark witt, a tender heart, a good bullshit meter, a bit of an attitude, a love for what counts in life, the hands to create, an adventurous spirit, a curiosity, a changing perspective, silliness, and an open mind to evolve. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXI edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

My Interests

Filmmaking, Obscure Non-PC Children's Books, Visual arts-esp. Film and Stop Animation, Hand made, Photography, Welding, Art, Color, Children, Coffee!!!, (But not children with coffee-aww jeez) I'm often found working with gnome-sized tools...I love all tools- the more noise the better! I'm also passionate about words written and spoken- I'm very affected by the sound of a good word combination or a disgusting one. And, whelp, sometimes it's just the way someone says it.

I'd like to meet:

The more the merrier

Music:

The Arcade Fire, Sweet, Kate Nash, Cat Power, The Damned, New York Dolls, Man Man, Lynyrd, Flaming Lips, ACDC, Motorhead, My Bloody Valentine, Catherine Wheel, Berlin, Bauhause, Cash, Nomi, Joy Division, Tones on Tail, Talking Heads, Cheap Trick, The Clash, Imogen Heap, Iron & Wine, Bjork, Blonde Redhead, Deerhoof, The Psychedelic Furs, Mott, Mazzy Star, Verve, JJ and her Blackhearts and especially before when she rocked with the girls, The Kinks, Andrew Bird, Jolie Holland, MC5, Beastie Boys, Beatles, The Who, Led Zep, Bowie, Ella, Billie, Louis, Hank and his prodginy,...

Movies:

Little Otik, Alice, Conspiritors of Pleasure (Jan Svankmajer is my soul mate), The Science of Sleep, Grey Gardens, 12 Monkeys, Fifth Element, Amelie, Ponette, The Cell, The Fall, Delicatessan, City of Lost Children, Red Dwarf, 1984, Tie me up-Tie me down, Bad Habits, All things Pedro Almodovar and John Hughes, Say Anything, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Harvey, The Cook The Thief His Wife and Her Lover, Coppolla's Dracula- minus Keanu who's accent makes me want to rip my own ears off, Secretary, Fur, Eternal Sunshine, Lost in Translation, Dune, Gone with the Wind, Spider Baby, Rosemary's Baby, The Bad Seed, A Clockwork Orange, Harold and Maude, Brazil, Titus, Donny Darko, Valley Girl, Carrie, Arsenic and Old Lace, Joe vs The Volcano, Shortbus, Hedwig, Before Night Falls, Oh my God- the list goes on and on...

Television:

Arrested Development, Wife Swap is child abuse...I don't advocate it, but I can't quite seem to turn it off, My name is Earl. I will watch almost anything on TLC or Discovery especially if it has blood and/ or babies. Blue planet...Planet Earth. Sci-fi is appreciated, but not necessary. This world and it's crazy inhabitants keep me endlessly fascinated. I haven't had broadcast television or cable for over three years for the simple reason: I can't stop. You Can't Do That on Television...missing you.

Books:

Can I say...I love the dictionary. I could sit and discover meanings and new words daily, too bad I rarely retain them. I am delighted and minorly obsessed by non-PC childrens' books. Those that were meant to guide and yet are the "silent voices" contributing to the therepy of millions of millinial adults. Der Struwwelpeter is a book that would make even Mother Teresa feel guilty. Those Germans really know how to keep their kids in line. "Don't suck your thumbs or the great tailor will come and CUT THEM OFF!" Illustrations are complete with with spurting blood from dethumbed hands. Edward Gorey books are also devine. I have been trying to read more adult minded books. I did enjoy Kafka's "Metamorphasis". Kafka is the equal part of neurotic mess to insects + the derivitive mutiplicant of relatability then devided by genius and adding a dash of lonely guy's infinite clock with a sprig of smokin' somethin's brilliant revelations= huh? I also have a tiny altar in my heart for Dave Eggers.

Heroes:

My socks. No one should have to endure their hardship.
