J.E.R.K. a follower of Jesus Edifying & Reverencing the Kingdom.
Im a native of sunny Southern California, where I confessed the lord in my life at an early age.Later on, I choose to separate from God and go do my own thang. I tried the thug life. Tried drugs, sex, and alcohol but didnt find what I thought I was missing. I lost Jobs behind alcohol, and plenty of job offers due to having a DUI. I tried to use the women to substitute for what I needed, and what I needed could only be given by God. All the time trying to make the rap game work for me. I eventually realized that my gift can be used for the world, but only thru the message of Jesus Christ that I might win soldiers for the sake of spreading the Gospel. I began my ministry of Gospel Rap about four years ago, and I truly understand my gift and how it has allowed me to move in the direction that God has for me. I know that God has anointed me to do what I do, I take credit for nothing. The lyrics are inspired by Him, and He has full creative authority over my music. I feel rap is a way, or an avenue for me to reach the youth through Gospel Hip Hop. Then between songs minister the uncut, unadulterated, Gospel of Jesus Christ so smooth that when the devil come to snatch the seed from them itll be too late.
Vision
I believe that the vision that was given to me is Gods and not my own. He has simply entrusted me with the vision to execute it. The vision for J.E.R.K. is to continue to make music that is inspired by God, and minister the word of God to the youth. I believe that Im called to the city of Compton. I have a great affection for Compton. My goal is to not just remain local, but at the same time I dont want to be so focused on spreading the Gospel abroad that home gets neglected. I want to show the youth that they have a positive role model that will never fail them and a friend that knows them better than they know themselves. That role model is Jesus, follow him and he will direct your paths and lead you to righteousness. So as for J.E.R.K. my motives are not to just be the biggest rapper of all time, but I pray that I reach my full potential in Christ. So whatever God has for J.E.R.K., Im excited, cause the joy of the Lord is my strength. God Is Good!
