This Revolution Starts In The Mirror
NEW CD HARSH APOCALYPSE Electro Resurection NOW available at our online store!!
Harsh Reality is a national touring Industrial Metal band with a near 20 year history and award winning stage show. Based out of Minneapolis Harsh Reality has held a grueling road schedule since return from our hiatus in 2006 logging over 250 shows nationwide in just over 2 years working along side bands such as Metal Church, Impaler, Genitorturers, Apocalypse Theater and the Peppermint Creeps to bring a unique blend of aggressive metal and dark industiral glam to the stage. We have performed on some of be best indy stages in america and will be traveling world wide again in 2008
The band regularly leaves audiences stunned with our extreme high energy music show along with our unpredictable and uncompromising stage show. Playing everywhere from art galleries, to theaters, sexy fetish ball events, industiral showcases, motorcycle clubs, and even a suspension show or two with performers hanging from steel hooks in their flesh while the band roars on stage.
The press has said
"(It was an) in your face performance for the ages,"
"a sound of Sepultra meets Marilyn Manson,"
"Somewhere between the ear bleeding riffs and the voluptuous silicone breasts, Harsh Reality manages to deliver a refreshingly accessible brand of sybaritic stage show"
In 2006 Harsh Reality quickly recieved MMA nominations for best bassist and best drummer in just 9 months after the return from a multi year Hiatus.
Continually press worthy, Harsh Reality has been interviewed by press from as far away as Spain, Greece and Japan, being featured in Cyprus Gold, URNA, The Gauntlet Metal Underground, Visions of Atlantis, Lucky Bitch Radio, VM Underground Radio, Lavender Magazine, The Spectator Live at 5, Local M and many others.
Harsh Reality continues in the tradition of old school metal but with a new outlook, in 2008 showing no signs of slowing the band continues its relentless road assult as well as working on a brand new studio album and film sound track to be released before the end of 2008.
Ok Now about me
First off I love music. Everything about rock n roll is a passion for me. I'm the Leader of aggressive metal band Harsh Reality. I get to travel all over the world playing the music I love. I have recorded 5 albums, and had a couple singles taken up by a small Sony subsidiary before Sony saw the label better used as a tax write off, contributed to the official Motorhead tribute Everything Louder Than Everyone Else (Hey Ace you ever going to fix that link!). Sinces the bands re-launch in may of 2006 we have completed nearly 200 shows including several national tours and are currently working to bring our unique show overseas.
ATPH needs to be addressed somewhere in here so here it goes. I was the bassist for All The Pretty Horses (now know as Venus & All the Pretty Horses) at what many thought was the apex of the bands 10 year history finally becoming the first and only "Trans" band to win a MMA award in 2005. Both Venus (who in a way was mother to me during my Transition so if you notice some similarities... well think of it as advanced genetics) and the Memory of what once was ATPH shall always hold a special place in my heart and are indeed missed greatly (Shannon, Emily and others from the ATPH camp seem to be like commets who now pass me by from time to time and shine for a while before they drift back into their long orbits) Although Venus now continues on with her great work with a new backing band concept, some doors once opened may never truly be shut again and true to that concept the doorway to what we had shall forever remain open.
On that note I have no idea how it happened but I have by some act of chance been apparently drafted into the Services of APOX (Apocalypse Theater) for an occasional tour or show here and there... how much this might entail only time will tell but I relish my time with the wasteland miscreants and have a blast with it. YARRRRRRRRR!
And that brings us to MERCY KILL... keep an eye out for this happy accident that grew out of the Harsh Apocalypse and fills me with the pleasure of joining parts of what I love so well with the unique spirit and out look of V. Mercy and Mad Kat for an interesting new band.
I am still seeking additional musical projects both live and in the studio of all styles and am ambitious about pushing myself forward. I LOVE IT!
I have also started doing a bit of fetish modeling. This is a new world to me but Im having a ball and enjoy the new horizon. So to answer some possible questions... "Yes, thats me in that picture" and "No I wont do that with you" (smiles) thats reserved for a very special tall blond drummer (even bigger smile) This is rewarding and quite interesting and I have enjoyed meeting new faces and having a great new field to work in. You can see quite a bit more of me at ModelTS.com, ShemaleYum.com and a number of other sites... Not exactly a porn "star" but working on it.
Ok other things about me
I grew up in small towns often surrounded by small minds. About 12 years ago (don't even think of asking my age) I escaped to Minneapolis and things have been looking up since then. For all you out there reading this there is another matter to note: Im a pre-op TRANSSEXUAL woman. If you can't deal with that you can stop reading right now, your ignorance is not my problem. I'm more than happy to chat about who I am with people who have honest questions but if your looking for someone to throw stones at be warned, I throw back. Being a woman has nothing to do with weakness. Call me what you want, both Angels and Demons have wings and I plan on finding out if I was ment to fly.
Other than that I love reading, watching movies, going out, painting, drawing, and occasionally even dancing if I get the chance. (more often Im the one playing the music than in the crowd) Warm soft embraces also fit in there when I get the chance.
Ok on that topic since it seems like that is what everyone on myspace is interested in. If you notice in my profile Im bi... big surprise there huh... In men I prefer the long haired rocker guys, it dosent hurt if you wear a bit of eye makeup either, love the glamed up rocker guys from the 80s but can also like the hard core metal guys too, for some reason Im also attracted to buff guys with a shaved head, think Vin Diesel in Pitch black and youll get my drift.
In girls (sorry guys I'll tell you I do tend to prefer girls, but always open minded) I have always had this thing for tall leggy blonds, (if you happen to be a drop dead georgous blond drummer that dosent hurt either) that my dear can stop me in my tracks. No Im not looking at the moment Im very VERY happy where I am in that regards. But if you care to drop me a line I always like to chat with new people.
I can be very warm and caring with the right person and would do anything for those I love but that dosent mean that I let anyone walk on me.
There is beauty in strength as well as in surrender and when you blend them you have the best of both worlds.
Indeed, Never judge a book by its cover.
