Born in Los Angeles C.A, Zubrainz lives his passion for hip hop. In 2001, while in Japan, he was a die hard fan of The Legendary Roots Crew and was in search of more real hip hop music. Then, one day, a Japanese friend was about to throw away a cd because it was scratched. He asked to listen to it before he tossed it away …Zubrainz was blown away by the CD… it was Slum Village (Fantastic vol-2). His taste for hip hop was born. In 2004, he launched into more hip hop and in 2006 he took a particular interest in beat making. His first sampler was Akai mpc 1000. His influences are J.Dilla(R.I.P), Oh-No, Black Milk, Madlib, Erykha Badu, Mos Def, Onra, Nicolay, 9TH Wonder, Talib Kwali, Hi-Tek, Tribe, Tayreeb, Bahamadia, Common, Slum Village, little brother, and Guilty Simpson.
He is currently working on a project titled “Formula Feedbackâ€, based on his passion for and exposure to hip hop music. The project consists of 11 tracks (the formula) and will be fed back to the people who love real hip hop music. Also 10% of sales will be donated to the AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY. LET’S FIND A CURE. So stay tuned! The Formula is coming soon!!!!
