About Me

A musician since the age of six, i only started using computers to make music around the age of 19. three and a half years later, i have learned much and have even more still to learn. I am Influenced by almost every piece of music i have ever experienced but it seems that the music i make is classed as hip-hop - mostly MC friendly. I tend to go through phases of music that i listen to. For a long time i was obsessed with the Cannibal Ox album 'The Cold Vein' and other Atoms fam stuff, more recently it has been System of a Down.It would be very hard not to take influence from the pop/rock band that i play drums in - 'The Cartwheelclub' and it goes both ways. A lot of the material for that project is derrived and adapted from my beats. Then there are my vocal contributions... i started writing rhymes about a year and a half ago and have since recorded a few bits and pieces including co-writing and performing the hooks on Skilf's 'Demonic' and 'What Lies Below'.I am also working on an album at the moment. i have more than enough material to do it but i am conscious to avoid putting together something that seems like a mix tape. i suppose that is unavoidable as a hip-hop producer but i plan to add some other tracks that stray away from the genre (hopefully including my electro/pop cover of Lady Muck's 'Look Back Twice').in the meantime, i am putting out a 12" as part of the birth of Clandestine Cultivations. The 2 tracks are here - 'Toast to Fate' and 'Optimist'. Watch out for that....
