He holds an MFA from the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program at NYU-Tisch (2006), where he was Tisch School of the Arts Scholar; and a BS in Human and Organizational Development w/ a conc. in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness & Music w/ a conc. in Piano Performance from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN (2004), where he graduated cum laude.

J. serves on the faculty of Applause Theatrical Workshops in the Applause and Broadway Babies programs, and can also be seen playing auditions for several casting agencies.
He is currently serving as Musical Director for Adding Machine, a new musical that is opening at Off-Broadway’s Minetta Lane Theatre in February 2008.
J. is a proud member of ASCAP, Local 802 AFM, and The Dramatists Guild of America.
Works include So Deep (It’s Underground) with Sean Keogh, Onward with Katie Kring, and Awakening with Joel B. New. He is currently penning Reception, Words On a Page with Chip Klose and Amanda Yesnowitz, and has a canon of standalone songs and text settings that are performed all over the world.
