“All too often, bands appear and disappear before they ever get a chance to promote the core elements in their music. Time after time, bands are branded and put into categories without thought and without justification.
Not this time."
From the depths of this complex labyrinth we call the music scene, comes a band built solidly on the foundations of their past experience. With a bone crushing sound, often reminiscent of the pioneers of heavy metal, as well as elements from a wide selection of genres, and a balls to the wall approach, Shot in Paris is going to take you on a musical expedition to prove that there is room for growth, originality and expansion in the plethora of heavy metal.â€

Formed in September 2006, Shot in Paris was born from the members of past Adelaide outfit, Fall of Reason. The band was quick to make their presence known, playing a dozen gigs in the first half of 2007 including the inaugural Scorcherfest at the Adelaide unibar, and support for Tidal in their return show at the Enigma bar. The group travelled to Melbourne at the end of April to record their debut EP with Roman Koester (The Red Shore, Carpathian, Deez Nuts). Shot in Paris achieved their first airplay on jjj’s short.fast.loud in November 07 for the song ‘Class War’. January 19th 2008 saw the release of the band's debut EP titled 'THE LINES THAT DIVIDE US' at the Enigma bar. The release is a 19 minute melodic pescription of balls to the wall metal that explores themes such as life, death, religion, moral values, attitudes (good & bad) and our core beliefs.
"THE LINES THAT DIVIDE US is a statement of everything we've achieved, yet a mere footnote to the challenges that lay ahead."
