Since Yesterday'in Radyo ODTÜ, Sahne Arkasi programi röportaji podcast'i icin yukariya tiklayin.
Since Yesterday, which was formed by guitarist Burak Kilic and Vocalist Can Gucyener towards the beginning of 2002, started its musical life in a style that could appropriately be branded as pop-punk/core whereby certain melancholic elements would be displayed. The band recorded a 7-track demo CD titled “Maybe Tomorrow” in the year 2003. Meanwhile, the changing musical tastes directed the band towards a phase of growth and Since Yesterday initiated efforts to catch its own musical structure.
After not being in the limelight for a long time, the band got together with a new line-up and new style and recorded a new demo titled “These Words Are How You Bled from My Wrists.” Since Yesterday shared some of the tracks from this demo in a split product with Izmir’s In Between.
The band was not very active in 2004 due to several member problems and guitarist Burak’s official military duty.
They started the New Year with a 4-way split CD titled “Pure Love Violence” under collaboration with American Planes Mistaken for Stars, British Candy Sniper and Izmir’s In Between. Shortly after, the band recorded a new track titled “The Last Message” and shot a video for the same song in 2005. The band finalized its line-up with the addition of a new guitarist and a drummer.
Until the summer of 2006, Since Yesterday performed in many concerts and festivals, attended a radio show and was featured in many print and online magazines. The band received positive reactions for its new line-up and style. Since Yesterday released a multimedia CD, titled “It’s Time to Move on My Dear” comprising three earlier tracks, a video clip, live performances and a 30-minute documentary, as a gift to long-time fans and supporters.
Before the album that they will begin recording soon, the band has released a new EP-demo in April 2007. The tracks "Episode One (The Director's Cut)", "The Fall", Dead Today", and "Suicide Wants an Unknown Melody" from "The Art Of Eremophobia" can be listened to from the bands myspace page. Since Yesterday is Mansur Asrar and Can Güçyener - Vocals, Cem Saydam and Burak Kilic - Guitars, Yigit Üney - Bass and Oktay Fistik - Drums.

Gitarist Burak Kiliç ve vokalist Can Güçyener tarafindan 2002 yili baslarinda Ankara’da kurulan Since Yesterday, o dönemde yer yer melankolik ögelerin kendini gösterdigi ama tam anlamiyla pop-punk/core olarak nitelendirilebilecek bir tarzda müzik hayatina basladi. Grup elemanlari 2003 senesinde “Maybe Tomorrow” isimli 7 parçalik bir demo kaydetti. Bu arada az da olsa degisen müzikal zevkler grubu tam anlamiyla bir olgunlasma sürecine soktu ve Since Yesterday kendi müzigini yakalamak için derinden çalismalara basladi.
Uzun süre ortalarda görünmeyen grup bu sefer yeniledikleri kadrosu ve tarzlariyla “These Words Are How You Bled From My Wrists” isimli yeni bir demo kaydedip tekrar dinleyicileriyle bulustu. Since Yesterday çikarttiklari ikinci demo da yer alan sarkilarini daha sonra Izmir’li grup In Between ile ortak bir split üründe kullandi.
Grup 2004 senesini çesitli eleman problemleri ve gitarist Burak’in askere gitmesi nedeniyle pek aktif geçiremedi.
2005 senesine Amerikali Planes Mistaken For Stars, Ingiliz Candy Sniper ve yine Izmir’li In Between ile birarada yer aldiklari “Pure Love Violence” isimli yeni bir 4 - way split ile merhaba dediler. Hemen ardindan gelen eleman degisiklikleri sonrasi yeni kadrosuna kavusan grup Agustos 2005’te “The Last Message” isimli sarkisini kaydedip bir de klip çekti.
Since Yesterday 2006 senesinin yaz aylarina kadar pek çok konser, festival, radyo programi ve dergi de yer buldu, oturan kadrosu ve yeni tarzlariyla dinleyicilerinden olumlu elestiriler aldi. Grup, uzun süredir takip eden ve destekleyen dinleyicilerine bir armagan olarak içinde eski sarkilarin tamaminin, klip ve canli performans görüntülerinin ve de 30 dakikalik bir belgeselin bulundugu “It’s Time To Move On My Dear” isimli bir multimedia CD çikartti.
Grup Nisan Ayinda, yakinda girecekleri albüm kaydindan önce promo amaçli bir ep-demo daha çikardi. “Episode One (The Director’s Cut)”, “The Fall”, “Dead Today” ve “Suicide Wants an Unknown Melody” isimli dört yeni sarkinin bulundugu “The Art of Eremophobia” grubun myspace sayfasindan dinlenebilmektedir. Since Yesterday’ in su an ki kadrosu vokallerde Mansur Asrar ve Can Güçyener, gitarlarda Cem Saydam ve Burak Kiliç, bas gitarda Yigit Üney ve davulda Oktay Fistik’dan olusmaktadir.
